A nice quiet site facilities were clean and fine for what we needed.
The guy we saw on arrival was very helpful and even though we checked in later he came to show us to our pitch.
A nice quick walk into town about 5 minutes a bit longer back due to a bit being uphill but still ok.

Easy to get to, lovely quiet site, clean toilets and an amazing shower definitely go back.
Lovely easy five minutes walk into Whitby.
The only thing that I was a tad disappointed with was it was stone chippings right by the access for others therefore not enough space to erect my small awning, but the weather was glorious so didn't need the awning anyway!
But the site was well kept and totally deserves a ten

Lovely site, we turned up without booking and owner give us a pitch no problem at all, nice & friendly.
Site is clean, tidy & very quiet on a night time, fantastic sleep!.
Toilet block with showers, running water, wash area, electricity everything you need and only 10 minute walk to Whitby town & attractions.
Will definitely stay again

Site was both easy to find and easily accessed. The security barrier with keypad for access was an added bonus. We did not use showers or toilets but they were available.
The site was spotlessly clean and trade bin for rubbish easy to access.
The view from our pitch was brilliant, we overlooked the river and we could see the abbey on the skyline and most of the town.
The footpath into the town, although a little steep at one end, was really convenient giving access to the buses, trains and shops. We did not need to use our car at all.
We would definitely want to stay there again when we next visit Whitby.

We chose this site because of its location, not for its facilities. It is near the entrance to a school within walking distance of the town(footpath under the road and down to the harbour) and also close to a cinder path linking Whitby and Scarborough, which is ideal for dog walking.
The site itself is small and mostly given over to statics. There are also a dozen or so pitches which are occupied on a seasonal basis. 3 or 4 pitches are available for touring. We had already paid a deposit of 1 night's stay and the remainder of the cost was paid over the phone by card.
We didn't see anyone connected with the site while we were there, but we could have phoned them if we had needed to.
The small wash block was clean, with plenty of hot water. The ladies had 3 loos, one shower and 2 or 3 sinks. My husband says that the men's side was similar, but with the addition of a urinal.
There is a barrier at the entrance and we had to ring the day before for the code to this and to the wash block. We were told where to set up, which was a concrete float at the end of a line of statics. Since we hadn't planned to put up an awning, this was fine - it was pretty windy anyway. During our stay - which was over a weekend, there were a couple of campervans in the touring pitches.
The site wasn't pretty or extensive and had no other facilities, but we had chosen it for its location, so it suited us fine and we would return simply for that reason.
We walked into Whitby a couple of times and also visited Robin Hood's Bay. There was a large Sainsbury's and a new Aldi within a short drive and a decent sized Co-Op supermarket in the town near the harbour.
It is a gorgeous area and not one we had ever visited before. Both towns were pretty busy, but that was probably because it was a weekend, as well as being early September. Wonderful fish and chips.
