An excellent site in the heart of quiet countryside.
The venue had everything needed. Pub open everyday with food.
A steeply sloping site but a large field with flatter areas.
Usual basic facilities in the field.
Superb toilet and shower room available 24 hours.
Approach roads quite narrow.

Pub staff were friendly, food was above average,
Showers were great, easy access to water and toilet disposal.
Nowhere on site was level which wasn't ideal.
Good rates for long term booking.
Felt safe even though the site is very secluded.

Nice place near Maidstone, surprisingly remote and in a beautiful setting.
Pub is nice, people are friendly. Booked in advance for the night after our arrival in England (Eurotunnel).
It would have been nice though if someone had informed us before that there would be an engagement party with a band playing until 10 and loud music afterwards (ending about 11). Because the loudspeakers (and band) were on the roof of the pub our pitch (on the hilltop) was exactly in front of them and we couldn't even understand what we were saying.
Toilets that were usually reserved for residents of the campsite were open to party guests and looked adequate after 9 pm because of that my review would probably have been somewhat better on another day.
Please ask about events before you go there! Or maybe choose it exactly for that reason, music wasn't bad at all.

Had a fantastic stay here. The Pub is brilliant, superb food especially the Sunday lunch. Amazing quality and reasonable prices. Great service from friendly staff members. We ate there on 3 occasions, every time was great. Very nice pub with great service, high quality offering all round. Extremely dog friendly place which suits us perfectly. Lovely to see the assortment of dogs in the pub being welcomed.
The site was pleasant - if a bit uneven! with electric hookup and plenty of water taps dotted around, and chemical toilet disposal point. We didn’t use showers etc however we did have a quick look on the last day as we only discovered them then. Very nice facilities, clean and well presented as were the rest of the property. We nearly always use our own facilities on board. Amazing countryside all around with the Woodlands Trust Hucking Estate right on the doorstep. Fabulous dog walking.
If I had to put anything negative- which in no way reflects on the establishment- it’s the horrendous approach roads - extremely narrow particularly for a large caravan such as ours. But having said that it was well worth the nervous breakdown after towing there !
Lovely place all round and highly recommended.

The site is spacious, most pitches have EHU. There are water and waste facilities and a modern toilet and shower block. Some pitches are slightly sloped.
The adjacent pub serves good food and a range of beers. There was entertainment (live music) on both nights that we stayed. They also open weekends for cooked breakfasts. The pub is very dog friendly.
We will return

What a fantastic little site! Just returned after four days at the beer/cider/music festival. The pub staff and guv are very welcoming and hard-working - nothing too much trouble. Site is on a hill so be prepared, although there are a couple of flat pitches at the top end for hook-ups. The approach road is quite narrow - especially with a large van but it worked out ok.
Very dog (wash down facilities), horse (stalls outside with haynets and water) and child friendly (no play park) with loads of walking at the Hucking Woodland Trust site next door. The festival was buzzing with many live bands over the weekend. Great beer and cider, good pub food. There was a dog show, mini fete, cricket match against another local pub. Brilliant weather too!
The camping toilets and showers (two of each) are new and separate from the pub - open all of the time, and you get a number for the door. No washing up facilities though.
Lots of little touches like rugs in a box near the pub door for chilly evenings, sauces and ketchups kept in a little fridge so that they don't congeal out on the tables. Lots of little nooks and crannies to sit, with some covered seating. Great breakfasts too - very popular with horse riders, cyclists and walkers. We will definitely return.
