 If you can't decide between camping and Center Parcs, there is a third way! We believe there was a thread in the overseas forum on UKCS that put us on notice, and after a bit of research, found that it was what we wanted. Situated just outside the perimeter of the main Center Parcs bungalows, we were made to feel very welcome by the lady on reception, who showed us to our pitch, which was shared with about 5 other units in field running at about 50% occupancy. There are two larger fields in that are bisected by the access track to Center Parcs. There was also a backpackers field without electric, and another field with a winding road that mainly accommodated motorhomes and glamping tents. We were right next to an electric point, however noticed that some were using 1 or 2 pitches away as they were too spaced out. There were enough electric points for everyone, and it seemed the site were aware of this and provided extension leads free of charge. Toilet blocks were spotless as we've got used to in the Netherlands and there is a small play park on the way to the beach.
Apart from that, you are given full access to all the usual Center Parcs facilities including massive indoor pool complex, bars, restaurants. The parc is set on a marina, so plenty of boats and watersports, and as usual in Zeeland and the Netherlands in general, there is plenty of bike access to nearby places. There is a huge beach about a 5/10 minute bike ride away, as well a fascinating attraction called Neeltje Jans. Really enjoyed being told and reading about how the dams came about. We also stumbled upon old ramparts in Hellevoetsluis which had been turned into a public park/walking area.
Would quite happily stay here and is a very short drive back to Hook of Holland/Europoort
