What a wonderful site! We’re so pleased we stayed here. We were made very welcome by Jo on arrival but we’d already had a lovely text before we arrived from Karina, telling us everything we might need to know.
Views to Orkney fantastic! You can watch the ferry going to and from Gill’s harbour along the coast.
We walked down to the little beach to walk the dogs and used the completely enclosed dog walking area too.
Electricity and water at your pitch. Pay only for electricity you use. Our bill was £1. 50 for electricity for the one night!
Karina sent me a video she’d taken of us leaving the site with the blue sky and sea behind us. We’d never have been able to get that ourselves- so thoughtful!
Super clean and just an easy stress free stop! Thank you Jo and Karina!

In a nutshell. Fantastic!
Fairly new CL, and obviously a great deal of thought has gone into it. This is on the very exposed Scottish north coast. Views are simply stunning accross to Orkney and stroma. The sea is wild and magnificent.
It’s off the beaten track but good and very quiet access roads make it easy to reach even for larger vehicles.
Entire site is sloping but care has been taken to make level pitches. Some folk might like to use a little bit of blocking up. We didn’t really feel it was necessary. Only had a -1 degree tilt to our rear, facing in towards site.
Water and drain at your pitch, each pitch has own tap to allow mains access via whale system if you fancy.
A decent length hose, I’d say min 10 M hose, longer to allow you to position either face in our out. EHU 16 AMP.
Chemical toilet is up the hill, maybe 50 yards or so. But wheels are provided for you and a couple of bungees to secure your cassette making it easy to pull up the hill. Toilet point and hose spotless.
Site spotless and very well maintained.
Off lead dog area provided. Brilliant! Even poop bags are supplied at entrance to this area.
Refuse area is also very clean and sanitisers everywhere!
Being a CL. There is no toilet block showers but everything else is catered for.
Free WiFi is excellent! A great deal of thought has also gone into site website to provide you with all the info you need to explore.
I Can find nothing negative to say. It’s an amazing site. Owners are friendly and very accommodating! Just lovely!

This cc cl provides elec hookups, water, and grey waste on each pitch, Elsan emptying point a short walk up to the Croft. Super quiet, with brilliant views out across to Orkney and stroma. A nice friendly welcome from the couple who run the cl. Great for dogs, a walk to the beach about 15 mins.
