A fantastic campsite, slightly tinged by logistics.

First of all, this is a great little campsite of 40 pitches next to the National Trusts Polesdon Lacey site. You do get access to the site as part of your stay.

The campsite itself is one open field with 40 pitches around the outside. There is a nice facility block with male/female toilets/showers and outside washing up. There is also a shop that does Pizza (pre-order) and other food/snacks. At the top of the field by the entrance is a large open tent/gazebo with 8 picnic tables under it.

The logistical let down is that you cannot drive onto site to drop off you camping equipment before 5pm, and if you want to pitch up at 2pm you have to wheel barrow your equipment about half a mile from the car park across 2 fields! Also, you must be off site by 10am, so an early pack up is required also.

Both of these restrictions are due to access via National Trust land and the timings the main house and gardens open.
