We spent 7 nights at this amazing site. The pitches are well kept circles with large spaces of longer grass inbetween, each pitch had it's own wooden bench and fire pit, wood was available from the main barn for £6 per bucket. There is very little lighting which makes it great for stargazing (weather dependent!).
The site is an eco friendly site with composting toilets and electric showers powered by solar panels, all are very well maintained and despite the weather not been great the shower was always hot.
Two of the toilets are located around the pitches with a third in the main barn at the top of the site along with the showers, sinks and pot washing facility's. A small shop is also in the barn with some useful items should you get caught short, you leave the money in an honesty box. Water points are located around the site.
Michael the owner has some animals at his farm, just down the hill from the barn, that the children can visit and feed, which was really nice for our two. They especially liked the alpacas & ducks.
Near by the town of Carmarthen is a 20 min drive and has plenty of supermarkets & shops for all your food & essentials.
We had a few days out, of note Llansteffan castle was nice and both the castle & parking was free. We also went to Pembroke castle & Pembrey Country Park which are both within an hours drive and well worth a visit.
Overall we had a lovely time here, Michael has put a lot of effort into maintaining this site and it has paid off, we would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again when we look to holiday in the area again.

Managed to book onto the site with a couple of hours notice. Lovely meadow that has several large round pitches mowed into it. Loads of space per pitch and good distance from others.
Each pitch has fire pit, good solid bench and compost loo. Nearby barn has free showers and washing up fridge and phone charge facilities.
Honesty box for wood for firepits. Host was very friendly and welcoming.
A lovely site. Quite sheltered from wind. We were in a roof tent so were allowed to bring our vehicles onto the pitch.
Must be a member of green camping to book.
Would go back again in a heartbeat. Remote enough to feel away from it all but close enough to facilities, beach etc

A lovely small and well maintained campsite. Michael is very knowledgeable about the local area and attentive to visitors.
Whilst no electric hook ups, you can charge your phone & freeze cool packs. Lovely hot showers.
Very peaceful & pleasant.

Truly a big barn, a warm welcome from Michael “The Host”, very friendly and happy to help plan day activities on request. Ample space and dedicated pitch with picnic bench, fire pit and recycling bucket.
You can drive to your pitch to unload your camping gears and then park outside near the barn for safety reasons. This is an eco friendly campsite and if you are not used to compositing toilets, this is the time to experience one. Very clean toilet and no smell. Composting toilets use shavings instead of water, super eco.
You have 2 compositing toilets at each end and 1 inside the barn including 3 shower rooms with hot water, which needs improvements and 2 drinking water taps. Great for young families, you can visit the farm animals within walking distance within the barn.
The closest beach is Pendine Sands a 7 mile long stretch of beautiful sand and is only 10 minutes away by car.

My friends and I planned a camping / Fishing trip over the bank holiday weekend. Every campsite I phoned up only wanted mixed sex couples, which I thought was very rude. There were only 4 males in our late 20's.
After hunting around the net, we found Big Barn Camping. Phoned them up and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Very friendly and it made us feel welcomed before we even got there. On entrance to the farm they are selling half a dozen eggs for £1 from an assortment of animals they had. It was a lovely touch. Once we pitched our tents up the owner wondered up to make sure we were OK. Again, super friendly. Two of us being seasoned campers we had everything we needed.
The there are two eco friendly toilets on site, these are interesting. You flush them with sawdust! I loved the idea and they were very environment friendly. Very clean too.
The shower block is what really impressed me, hence the pictures. The showers are bigger than what you you usually get in a hotel! Nice and hot with plenty of pressure. I was very impressed with these as they were real contained showers, not just a shower head on a wall that has been there for years! I was very impressed.
The other part I wanted to add was the recycling. They have recycling bins for everything! The owners really care about being green which is great!
I loved the place and will be returning on my next camping trip with the misses later in the summer.

Wow. What a place! Campsite is a new one and everything was fantastic. Clean loos, hot showers, fantastic facilities. The hosts were really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Fantastic views and loads to do around the area. We will definitely be back soon.
Fantastic campsite with stunning views. Super clean toilets and hot showers. Fantastic amenities and friendly hosts. There are loads of things to see and do in the area. It really is a beautiful part of the country and the campsite is in an ideal location for exploring the local area.
I would definitely book here again and recommend it as a 10/10.
