 East Cawledge's location just off the busy A1 in Alnwick may not look promising, but is in fact a little oasis of tranquillity. As CL's go, it's pretty basic with only fresh water, waste disposal and 10 amp EHU.
The main advantage apart from its peaceful setting, is the ease of access on foot or by car to Alnwick itself. A number of supermarkets are within easy reach and the castle too is within walking distance.
The castle is well worth a visit and gives a discount for C&MC members.
Other nearby attractions include the Hardy fishing museum, the Aln valley railway and Barters bookshop in the old railway station.
Cost £12 per night all inclusive.
