Used as a stop off en route further south. We were limited for choice as not many campsites are open in March in France. Grass pitches only available. After all the rain this year, the ground was soft. We nearly got stuck in the mud.

It was quiet at night and we slept well.

The facilities are old and in need of an upgrade. The toilet cubicles are outside, lights on timers which go off quickly. One of these would not switch back on. No toilet paper, no soap or drying facility which are essentials.

Good hot showers situated high on the wall with push button and washbasins are inside the sanitary buildings. Washing up water was warm rather than hot. The hairdryer near the showers wasn’t working.

Our main bugbear was that we were blamed for faulty electrics by the very, grumpy owner when the socket tripped the campsite supply. The issue was not us as he realised when the supply didn’t come back on.

Fortunately, we have a long lead and could plug in a few metres away from our pitch and fortunately, my husband speaks very good French and could communicate well with the owner.

The site has a mix of ‘permanent’ chalets as well as those for hire.

The site is handy for visiting Rouen with a good tram service and park and ride fairly close by.

However, having received such rudeness we will not be returning to this campsite.

Used site as a stopover en route south and to visit Rouen.

As mentioned elsewhere ability to route via Pont Brotonne rather than the horrid route through Rouen is attractive.

Ideal for our purposes and site was fairly quiet, would say pitches generally cramped particularly if using full awning. Other wise fine with nice facilities.

Unable to use restaurant as they could not provide a gluten free option for one of our party but staff tried hard to check available ingredients. Plenty of food shops inc a supermarket with fuel very close by. Small pool not used as weather was not ideal.

Make sure you have a converter plug to French style hook up and also a polarity correcter lead as our pitch was reversed.

Good site to visit Rouen and handy for Dieppe ferry nice staff, English not brilliant but nor is my French we all got on fine though

This camp site is just 5 minutes from junction 25 of the A13 which is ideal for heading south either via Le Mans, Tours and Bordeaux or Chartres, Orleans and Clermont Ferrand. We were doing the latter route and stayed for one night on the way down and on the way back. It's even better because you can access the site without going through Rouen, but rather come over the Pont Brotonne. There is an Intermarche just up the road which also has a 24/7 fuel station. You get a warm welcome on arrival. The owner's have enough English to sort you out with your pitch and to order your bread and croissants for the following morning. There is a small bar and snack area by the outdoor swimming pool. We didn't use the bar area so can't comment on it. The pitches are a nice size and in the main flat. Most are separated by hedges. There is also some shade from trees on some pitches. Some electric hook ups have continental sockets and some have UK sockets. There is NO reverse polarity. If you have a trailer tent, folding camper or caravan, you'll need to reverse into the pitches and some look a little tight, though in no way inaccessible. There are good toilets, showers and washing facilities that are clean, well looked after and have plenty of warm water with good pressure. Beware that the site follows the French camp site tradition of not having any toilet roll. The site is calm and quiet at night and has a barrier which needs a code to enter. We did return from a meal out at around 10am and the gate onto the main road was shut. My wife did manage to open it but with some difficulty and if you do find yourself in this situation, there isn't much safe parking on the road. So, would I return? Well, probably I would because of it's location but the tight reversing puts me off a little as does the gate shutting at what is quite early. However, these are not deal breakers for me whereas the location and the pool for the kids on arrival is a big plus for me. Overall, I would use this site again and I look forward to returning, perhaps as soon as next year.
