We Stayed for 2 nights on this site which is ideally situated for travellers between the North and South of Germany between the A3 and A7.
The site is on the banks of the river Main and has a restaurant and bar. The pitches are not hedged around but are flat and generous in size. There is a lovely looking lido on an island in the river and swimming pool very nearby.
The washing facilities are clean and comfortable but they charge 50C for showers which I find rather irritating. Why not just increase the site fees?
The site is close to Edeka and Lidl supermarkets and a petrol station making it ideal as a stopping off point. Kitzingen is a pretty little town with several restaurants and bars. The site is 20 minutes drive from the beautiful city of Wurzburg with its many historical buildings and a stopping off point on the famous Romantic Road.
We just stopped for the 1 night at this riverside location with access from the motorway within 4 miles. There are 4 pitches that the owners use for overnight that ask you to park lengthways. Facilities are fine, with showers costing 0. 50 cents (overhead showers). Please note that the shower block is raised and there does not appear to be any special facility for disabled people to access them (please make enquiries direct with site before visiting) There is a bar/restaurant on site and the river Main runs just outside the perimeter. Local supermarkets and petrol is available within 250 yards and the small town can be accessed by foot across the bridge as the site sits on an island. The swimming pool complex is right next door.
An excellent stopover site.
