 This municipal is a little way out of the village, down a winding lane. When we first arrived we thought it was closed, but on closer inspection a sign indicated it was open, so we lifted the barrier and drove in. The site appears to be in two parts, either side of a stream and, so far as we could see, the two were not linked up other than by a small footbridge. The part we found ourselves in has a small warden's hut with a notice saying that the warden would call each morning (he did). A well shaded site in woods and we were the only occupants, apart from one unoccupied caravan (it seems that the site provides garage mort). It looks as if there is a lake nearby suitable for fishing. We were only here for 1 night and stayed hitched up. The showers were open and one toilet. There was space for a washing machine, but none there - it may be that it was too early in the season for one to be made available for the odd chance traveller - the site is not overlooked and I suppose potential damage could be a problem, although we saw no signs of this and the site appeared to be well kept. Electricity and water were available. I would imagine that the site is quite popular with walkers in the high season. The other part of the site had what appeared to be a room for gatherings. There may also have been a path to the village, but we didn't have time to explore.
This is an OK site for a night halt if you are not too bothered about facilities or for campers who want a truly rural and basic experience. It's about half and hour from the Montlucon junction on the A71 in an area which seems to be a bit short of camping opportunities.
Our one night in June cost us 11. 50 euros and there was no charge for the dogs.
