 The site itself is gradually going downhill. I know the weather has been wet, but on arrival it was certainly dry enough to mow the whole edge of the site as they normally do.
I know that former visitors have been stuck and the ground has been rutted, but now with long grass too its dangerous to walk about. They continue to take bookings although the ground is wet, but don't contact you if there are issues. (Happened to us a couple of years ago, arrived and took boggy to site the va and three units in various stages of being stuck). Just let us know and we'll make other arrangements!
No one ever comes down to the site, they don't seem to want to talk with caravanners.
The toilet and shower facilities are good, but never is the code provided, either on booking or on arrival.
It's such a a beautiful spot, and we've been coming for years, but unless they do some basic groundworks I'm not sure we can contemplate visiting again. Shame 😔

We booked this place as a cheap stay before heading home.
We arrived mid morning and booked in with a receptionist, we not given any instruction on we’re thing we’re on the camp site or what was available to us as paying site members. Or water supply, washing area.
Toilets and showers are locked at night and a code is needed this was not passed. We had to ask the lovely lady who was the cleaner for assistance and advice she was so pleasant and welcoming to us both and a great help.
I noticed that Wi-Fi was available when I booked online. I asked the receptionist about this and was told that she didn’t know they code and she was the only member of staff on the office she was to find out for us she never re appeared and left site early pm.
The camping area need to have its grass cut regularly. It was so long we were unable to sit out on our chairs need more TLC this site we were really disappointed in the camping area.
Facilities were very clean and we’ll maintained. The only nice thing about the place. Very disappointed.

This site is adjacent to Upton Dyke with great views across the broadland landscape. We chose it because we wanted to hire a sailing dayboat from the site. They’ve got two and they are excellent traditional gaff cutters. There is also a slip way for small craft. The site itself is very basic, more of a meadow than a lawn. We were there in the long hot dry summer, so no problems with soft ground. It was quite low lying and I’m not sure if a heavy motor home would cope if it was very wet. The WC was adjacent to the boatyard office. The owners were very friendly. Good dog walking alongside the dyke and the river. Plenty of wildlife to see. No EHU but very good value for money.
