 Huge site with a big corporate feel about it (3000+ pitches). The entrance and shop complex that meets you is very clean and modern.
Nice welcome and then shown to our pitch, which was shaded (as most are), had electricity, water, and drainage on pitch. Most appeared large enough, some with hedges however all were quite tatty, some were sand.
The site is adjacent to wonderful clean beach with warm sea, and safe shallow bathing and long walks if you want. Several beach bars cum ice cream parlours cum restaurants alongside the site.
Large swimming pool complex included slides, wave machine, jacuzzies, kids pool, etc. However, given that it is far from cheap per night to stay there, I think charging for the use of beds was a bit of a mickey take. The restaurants were better than we thought they would be and prices reasonable. There is also a restaurant outside the entrance which was very good.
Camp supermarket was good if a little pricey, plus there are a fruiterers and bakers plus other retail shops. Toilets and showers were immaculate, absolutely first class.
Plenty of entertainment aimed at children.
Campers with dogs have there own area to the west end of the camp plus beach area.
Close by are ferries to Venice (20/30 min trip) pay to park your car, walking will save a bit.
1300-1500 hrs is siesta time and during this time you cannot use the car on site, the pool activities, as well as some other sales ie bike hire.
The ten nights we had here cost more than the other 32 nights during our tour. Was it value for money ? No not for us, but if you have a family and don’t want to extend beyond the entrance it will probably be OK.
