Excellent caravan ground. Flat grassed area, plenty of space, no problem with distancing.
Hard standing I/when required.
Farm shop close by on A31 with coffee shop.
Lovely couple the owners. Down side. The turning at the entrance is a bit tight.
Have to wait for security gates to open. Long rigs have about 4 or 5 feet sticking into road. Passing traffic has to take care!
Would go again no problem!

So this was our first (if brief) visit to a CL. On arrival all looked wonderful as described in other reviews; idyllic even. Treehouse, limited playpark, lake for a bit of fishing perhaps.
The friendly owners introduced themselves but told us sadly that the treehouse was off limits and we should keep the kids away from the lake (which it transpires is only available for members fishing not day tickets).
The facilities were understandably closed but there did not appear to be any grey waste drain or bins available.
The chickens are pests and were entirely happy coming into the caravan and begging for food. Clearly some may see this through a different lens!
Overall a great site with huge potential that just needs some attention to detail and minor investment. Local area highly recommended for families.
For grown ups a tour of the brewery and meal in the Brewery Tap must make the list. Also the Royal Signals Museum. Beaches and a plethora of other attractions in the area mean you are spoilt for choice in a 30 mins radius.

Pros. Great site, plenty of room between caravans/Motorhomes. Level field, close to village which has 2 shops, golf course and pub.
Cons. Only negative is we had someone mowing the grass at 8:15 in the morning and they could see our blinds closed but continued.
8/10

We found this site on-line on the outskirts of Sturminster Marshall when searching for a CL near Wimborne, . It is one of the best CLs that we have stayed on over 40 years of caravanning. We had a very warm and friendly welcome from the owners and were told to enjoy our stay and make full use of this very large property.
It is an idyllic location set amongst lakes, paddocks and meadows. The lakes are pleasant to walk around and the surrounding fields are grazed by sheep.
There are actually two separate CLs in the parkland. One is alongside the larger of the 2 fishing lakes – ideal for fishermen – but has no electric hook-ups. For the keen carp fisherman day tickets are available for the 5 1/2 acre lake. The other CL, which we stayed on, overlooks a large paddock with a small flock of sheep and the lakes beyond. This particular CL does have electric hook-ups and there is also a toilet. A small shower block with wet rooms is under construction and will be in use for next season.
The local towns of Blandford, Wimborne and Poole offer historical attractions and leisure facilities. They have services including restaurants, pub, chip shop, petrol station, supermarkets and a variety of shops. For families there are a variety of soft play venues, trampoline park, cinema and Farmer Palmers. Poole has a train station and ferry port, so it is an ideal location for a stop-over on the way to or from France
The owners are very enthusiastic about developing their site for the benefit of caravanners, and have some ambitious plans for the future. Considering that they have established such a good site in less than 2 years, we look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in the future.
