Very nice CL.
Perfectly level, easy access, water, hook up, Elsan disposal, and recycling. Everything we need and very quiet.
Owners are friendly and helpful, great walks in the area, and the Three Kings is a lovely, unspoiled, country pub, just 8 minutes walk along the footpath. No food, but great real ale and very friendly. Not open all day.
Plenty of choice in Upton and the Spar and Co-op have enough to get you by. There is a very small car park behind the Co-op, plus the two larger ones mentioned in another review, but it's an easy enough walk - about 40 minutes.

A nice little site which is easy to find. Turn left in Hanley Castle towards Three Counties showground and then almost immediately left again, by a strange small edifice. Easily missed, if you do, continue on to Hanley Swan, turn left and left again and this will bring you to the other end of Gilberts End Lane.
Basically the site is a long narrow rectangle; the hook ups are all against the hedge in a row (someone on the CAMC website complained about this!) Not much shade, in hot afternoons you have to retire to behind your van. The only problem we found that there is only 1 bin for recycling which was not emptied, we had to take our recycling away and dispose of it elsewhere. Otherwise everything was good. Nice views of the Malvern Hills.
Upton is the nearest town, like somewhere from the 1950s preserved in aspic (try the garage, attended service!) It has a Spar and Co-op but you have to walk to them, no car park at either, but there is a free car park at the Rugby Club, bottom of town, and a cheap one at the top end near the garage. The river is too big and down an embankment so no good for swimming, however dog swimming can be found at Pershore which also has an Asda.
Customer service is good, prompt reply to emails and a welcome upon arrival, then you are left alone. £13. 50 per night which is fine.
