Stayed here for 7 nights as that was the mandatory length of stay when I tried to book in October 2023 due to the Whitsun weekend. However, I then discovered others booked later were able to stay for shorter periods, even just overnight!
When I asked the reception staff, probably the site owner about this, I was informed that's what the booking system would do as in adjusting the length of stay according to demand, with longer stay the earlier one books! I could have booked for just 5 nights which was what I had planned in the first place had I known about this, nevermind!
Having said that, the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful.
The site is a working farm with its own herd of cattle. One could purchase milk from their cows and cheeses made with milk from their cows, very nice they were too!
Fresh beef products were also available from the shop, however, I was not certain if they came from their own animals.
Also available from the shop/reception were ice creams and cold drinks, including beers; fresh eggs from their own hens, and some souvenirs.
Although it is a working farm, apart from the smell and the occasional noises, it was very peaceful during my stay, even though there was a big family gathering of about 8 units which stayed mostly for 3 nights over the Whitsun weekend opposite my pitch.
There were other animals on site, such as a pig, rabbits, chicken and Alpacas. Children enjoyed visiting the animals and to ride carts around the site.
The site was also very close to the beach.
Pitch fees came with 6A EHU supply as standard, and extra electricity can be purchased at time of checking in. I paid 2. 50 EUR per night for upgrading to 10A.
The facilities block was quite new, separate gents and ladies, with a separate room for the disable with shower, sink and toilet. I used the washing machine which was very reasonable at 4. 00 EUR for a quick wash.
No set time for cleaning and the ladies side was kept very clean and tidy at all times.
I did not venture out much due to having hurt my foot. I did go to the nearby harbour for a short walk and it had free parking. The restaurant there could be reached on foot in about 20min for a leisurely stroll.
The campsite was a good base for the purpose of visiting the tent makers Karsten and ESVO.
The Karsten shop was massive with all their tents on display, and a big selection of camping goods on sale. Definitely worth a visit!
The ESVO shop was a factory and not geared up to be a retail shop as such. However, on being informed about my last tent being a custom ESVO Bedouin 340 ordered via Camping Travel Store in UK, the nice gentleman at the reception allowed me to go up to their work-in-progress tent display area to have a gander for which I was very grateful. Seeing a Bedouin 340 on display was somewhat emotional as it brought back happy memories of my camping in canvas days.
All in all, a nice stay.

The site is on a working farm with all the smells and sounds that you would expect. However, this didn't detract at all, the site is clean (amazing toilets) and friendly and very low key.
The facilities were sufficient for us but it isn't anything like 'all singing/dancing', it would be fine for couples of families with small children (they would love driving around in the go karts etc).
It's on the outskirts of Edam, about 10 mins bike ride from shops and restaurants and just a little further to a good, small supermarket. Across the road and over the dyke is the Marker Meer where you can swim, sail, use dinghies etc in lovely, shallow, warm water.
Highly recommended.
