Very quiet site, convenient to M6 and easy to find.
More facilities than on most CL sites, with recent renovations to the shower block.

Very quiet site.
Access road a bit tight for our 8m caravan.
Water at each pitch.
Cost £1 for a shower.
Nowhere to wash dishes
Dog walk.
About 5mins drive into Stafford.

What a great little site and ideal location for Stafford County Showground.
Good level pitches with hook up and tap, site well maintained with new toilet /shower block and very clean.
Would definitely return.

Great little site very secure. Everyone is very friendly and the Site manager assisted and directed we with all our concerns.
It is local to Stone which has a very good farmers market every first sat of the month.
Trentham gardens and cannock chase are very close drive. There are 2 great pubs both 2 miles away one a country pub towards Stone the other one towards Stafford with a Costa, Co op, fish & chips shop by it.
We are out on our first adventure in our new to us Camplet loving the peace and quiet.
The new shower/toilet block is now open and spotless clean, the owners with Bill and Adele are hoping the finishing touches to be completed very shorty on them.
We will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Booking was straightforward and we were updated as necessary. A lovely, very well kept park with large hardstanding areas next to a residential park. Showers out of use due to Covid but not a problem. Looked like upgrades in progress which look spacious.
Access code to gate given on arrival and Adele is very welcoming and friendly. A quiet stay, which was important as we were exhibiting at nearby Trentham Gardens, only 15 mins drive away.
We shall certainly book again when next in the area. Only reason for not giving 10 scores, due to no showers at the time, which are obviously beyond their control at present!

The campsite is as described in previous reviews and actually looks as good as it does in the photos on the website. Access to the site is straightforward (we followed Mrs. Bonce's directions).
We were a little unsure about it being by a residential site, but this was no issue at all as it is completely separate, with its own secure entrance gate (phone the number on the gate on arrival and you are given the code), and while we were there the site and surroundings were quiet and peaceful.
The site road is good, the hard-standings are large and level, with well-kept grass areas between and a large grassy space to the front, and each pitch has a 16 amp electricity supply with a couple of water points between them. The bin, waste water and chemical disposal are at the bottom end of the site and the toilet and shower block (which we did not use) is just beyond this, as is a very neat and tidy caravan storage area. These do not affect the outlook and atmosphere of the site though.
Communications before and on arrival were good, both by phone and email, and the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed here for two separate one night stays to break our journey from and back home, but would happily stay for longer another time.

Lovely clean and secure site, well located for Stafford, Stone and the Potteries, some lovely pubs close by doing excellent food,
Nearby attractions Alton towers, Stafford castle, Lyme Stone brewery, plus many more,
Owners very nice and helpful
Well worth a visit
Would stop again.

This is a CL of the highest standard, with large level hardstandings and excellent facilities. It is situated behind a residential park home which I assume is all run be the same person.
The only thing which seems to be missing is a dedicated dog walk, otherwise it's a perfect stop over. The directions on the CAMC website appear better, although about a mile longer, than on their own website, especially for longer units.
Leave the M6 at J14 and head for the showground on the a518, past the showground to Within Lane, sp Hopton on the left. There are several side roads to Hopton, ignore these, look out for the CL sign (on the left) and Stable Park. At the entrance (well back from the road), phone for the security code.
We used the site for 1 night on the way to Cumbria, 2 nights on the way back and will use again. £17 per night which was fine.
