We booked our 'pitch' several days before. However, on arrival ALL 'pitches' in car park where taken by parked cars and on enquiry at reception told to find a space to park until suitable 'pitch' available, or wait until end of day and park in coaches parking area, marked coaches only!
LUCKILY, we had not paid, eventually finding a parking bay suitable to take motorhome but no where near electrics, so paid £10. 00 for this. STRONGLY ADVICE to arrive either in the morning before any sailings or after 17. 00hrs to get a suitable parking bay as this is in the car park with NO RESERVATIONS OR RESTRICTIONS, except for coaches.
Did have a splendid time here on the SIR Walter SCOTT and in the licensed restaurant. Toilets are locked at night, NO provision for grey water or emptying of toilet.

I stayed just one night, a Friday, in Ben Lomond "eco-lodge" which is simply a very nice, well equipped camping pod. £40 per night which isn't bad for the quality of the accommodation and the location overlooking Loch Katrine.
The pod had two beds in a bunk for kids and a small lounge area which converts into a double bed. Sink, water on tap, kettle and microwave. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and shortbread biscuits! A first in the many camping pods I've stayed in. As was the HDTV. All very clean and seemed to be quite new.
Picnic table outside plus a couple chairs. The seating overlooks the Loch and main route around it, so during the day there are a lot of people walking passed. Quite good for people watching. You also get to watch the steam ship coming and going.
The site also offers camping but I imagine pitches are limited as there didn't seem to be an awful lot of space and you might need to park your car in the main car park. If you are camping, there is a covered cooking area.
Some the pods have WC's and showers. There is a small, modern facilities block but only one male shower and toilet. Other toilets are available in the main car park.

We stayed here overnight having arrived just before the booking / ticket office closed at 5pm. The staff and particularly the lady who booked us in were very pleasant and helpful and explained everything. The site is at the Trossachs Pier on Loch Kathrine.
Motorhome parking is in a very large car park we paid £18 overnight with electric and it is £10 without including free wifi. There is a licensed cafe and gift shop on site open til 6pm. There are 2 loch tours for 1 or 2 hours. Toilets are open all night and I was given a fob for the shower.
Toilets and showers were very modern and clean. The site is a 20 minute drive from Callander which is worth a visit and there are many other places to visit in the area. You can also hire cycles on the site and there are lodges on site and camping pitches, some with electric hook up.
We were told about this site in the Information Office in Callander and very pleased to have found it and will definitely use it again if in the area.
