 Perfect stopover site with extra amenities. Also very peaceful.

Not far from caen ferry and at usual aire prices the toilets and showers are basic but perfectly clean.

We had the whole site to ourselves for the one night we stayed.

We could use the public swimming pool attached for two euros each ( you also use the swimming pool reception as the check in for camping)

Ten minute walk through the park and past the lake to the town with plenty of shops and bars 
via mobile

 This is a good old fashioned municipal campsite, set in the sports/leisure complex on the edge of the town. The old Guardiens house is empty and you now register at the swimming pool reception.

The first time we stayed on this site we were the only people on it, this year there were five or six outfits. There are no marked pitches, you just find a sport that suits.

The facilities are old but perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean.

As well as the swimming pool there are tennis courts and a football pitch, and a public park with a lake just around the corner.

The town itself is pleasant enough and has all the amenities needed.

In my opinion it is an ideal stopover site when driving through Normandy and not wanting to use the motorway.
