 We stayed for one night on our trip south and one night on our way north to go home a few weeks later. The site is in a pleasant and typical French village.
One of the attractions for us was that it was half way between Rouen and Chartres and allowed us to avoid the traffic meltdowns around Dreux. The roads are long, straight and wonderful around here. It’s about 3 and a half hours from Calais.
The reception is warm and welcoming but do have your conversation worked out in advance because Madame’s English is not great. But, between us we worked it out. The pitches are all separated by hedges and are of a good size. There are plenty of hook ups with standard connectors so you don't need an adaptor.
I didn't check for reverse polarity but I had no cause to think this was an issue here. The facilities are extremely well maintained and there are good toilets and washing facilities as well as indoor washing up sinks and washing machines.
There is a good snack bar that sells ice creams, drinks and things like frites, hot dogs, burgers and moule et frites. I didn’t try the food so can’t comment. There is a local pizzeria that will sell you a takeaway too.
The swimming pool is not a big one but is undercover and our kids loved it. It seems that some evenings there are ‘animations’ but not while we were there.
I’m not sure about the locality. There is a Centre Parks close by and the town of Verneuil sur Avre looked nice too. There is a Carrefour as you approach the village from Evreux and there is a big Intermarche with fuel and a McDonalds at Verneuil about 12kms away.
If you are coming from or going towards the Chartres direction, you would go right past it. I liked this site and I would use it again, maybe even consider staying for a few nights rather than just an overnight.
