Stayed again for overnighter before leaving caravan at storage site.
Arrived early afternoon, reception closed, but entered site and found a plot, as advised by notice at entrance.
It really is a very attractive campsite. Trees, grass, some very large plots, modern ablutions etc as mentioned in previous review.
There is very easy access to the walk/cycle path along the Loire via a gate at the west end of the campsite. Also, immediately outside the gate is a launching area for boats, making this a very good campsite for cycling and boating combination.
Next year we may stay here for several nights and really test that dual facility.

Stayed here for one night as it's very close to our caravan storage.
Set on the banks of the river Loire, it was quite busy for the time of year.
Pitches are of a good size, some very large, and mostly separated by hedges.
Decent ablutions in a two storey block.
Free wifi. Drinks and ice-cream available (no license).
Easy walking distance into Drain. Although the upper part of the small town is a bit of a climb. It has all the standard shops/provisions. There is a restaurant at the bottom end (150m from the campsite. Though only doing lunches in September. )
The nearby town of Ancenis (6kms) is well worth a stroll (or more). Several good restaurants within an attractive town with a good walk round/through a comprehensive leisure park (golf, archery and various). Plenty of walks along the Loire 'beaches'. Also from the campsite.
Ancenis also has a large campsite, which is more expensive, but with direct access to the town and leisure park. So may suit some.
The campsite office is often closed during the day. Just find a pitch and check-in during the evening when the municipal official opens up.
This is an excellent overnight stop, and would suit a longer stay for some and as a base to explore this part of the Loire (between Angers and Nantes).
