Site at the back of the beach, mainly used by surfers and 90 percent full. Pitches are quite small - campervan and sun canopy size.
Despite the young demographic was quiet after 10. Onsite bar does breakfast etc and serves till 10. 15pm.
Facilities plentiful and clean. Showers loo paper hot water, potwashing sinks included. Washing machines.
Beautiful sandy beach with lifeguards, restaurants nearby.
English speaking staff.

We stayed in a bungalow the site was clean, quiet and safe situated between two beautiful beaches one for surfers and one exceptionally safe beach for swimmers and children with lovely clean sand.
There was a very good restaurant on the site and other shops including a bakery and small supermarket just outside altogether one of the best sites we have stayed in.
The nearest town was a gentle 25 minutes along a bridge over the sea.
The town was old with interesting shops and many restaurants.

Lovely campsite in a great location.
Local beach (2 mins away), perfect for surfers, although that wasn’t for us.
Bar/restaurant also very good.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
Highly recommended.

Due to Covid hadn’t been on a Spanish campsite since 2019 and forgotten how higgedly piggedly some of them are set out and this one certainly was!
That said there were large pitches in shade or sun and the campsite is situated across the estuary from the interesting and picturesque town of San Vicente de Barquera with shops, bars and restaurants 20 minute flat walk away.
The site and nearby beach is popular with surfers and there’s also a nice sheltered beach on the estuary side of the site.
Facilities on the site were excellent kept meticulously clean and the water for washing and showering piping hot. Wifi was non existent.
While there are a few bars outside the site the campsite restaurant was excellent with a varied and very reasonably priced meal and tapas menu. Likewise the site shop was well stocked and items reasonably priced.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Booked in for 2 nights on the route around the coast and I wished I had booked more,
A nice site in a great location, a very short walk to the beach
Great friendly staff and good clean facilities and the hottest showers out of the last 8 sites,
At the end of a day on the beach a hot shower and a beer, what else do you need

Loved this site, which is nestled on a piece of land between the sea (surfing and massive sand) and an estuary where lots of sand is exposed when the tide is out. The site overlooks the lovely town of San Vicente de la Barquera which has some nice old buildings and lots of shops and restaurants. In the background are the Pecos Mountains so lovely sunrises and sunsets.
The town is a 15 minute walk. The beach is 5 minutes.
A bar/ restaurant on site and good local facilities - including a supermarket - make this a great spot to stay for a few days.
We nabbed a spot overlooking the estuary - thoroughly recommend that as the pitches are sheltered from the wind.
The facilities are clean and lots of showers/ loos (with seats and paper).
Staff speak reasonable English although they do appreciate a few words of Spanish!
Surfers come here so expect lots of sand around the facilities but when we were there they were well-behaved.
We went to Comillas by bus - well worth doing (Euros 1. 55 each).
My only niggle was the painfully slow - but free - wifi around reception.
