We arrived after a long journey and were sited straight away, which was great.
However, if you want peace and quiet, don’t go here! The staff, although quite friendly on arrival, literally never left us alone! Rule after rule, but the rules were not written down anywhere, so every time you did something that constituted breaking one of their rules, they would come over and say, “you can’t do that” etc.
They were extremely rude and aggressive with the people next to us, who had their music on, not loud by any means. Everything was so much trouble, we couldn’t wait to get off!
We definitely won’t be going back unfortunately, which is a shame.

Lovely very quiet site, close to the village.
The gates were locked at night, this made leaving early on Saturday a little problematic.
I still don't know where the reception is, the signage tells you to find a pitch then someone will find you, we did that, but when the guy came to us he told us we should have gone to reception.

We booked this site as a stopover to break up a long journey. It is close to the M6.
It is a Caravan Club certified location and we were on one of the five hard standing pitches. There is another field nearby that had two caravans on it. It was peaceful and quiet.
We use the toilet and shower in our caravan but I did look at the facilities on this site and they were modern and spotless.
Everyone on the site was friendly and we had no problems with noise etc.
It was a short walk into the village and the local pub, The Railway Arms was nice.
We only stayed for two nights but may go back for a longer stay as it was a great place.

The site is well maintained and in a beautiful part of the countryside with stunning views.
It is close to local amenities and a lovely country park.
There is a small charge for the use of the showers but they are clean and tidy.
The only negative is the short road leading to the caravan site that can get quite bumpy.

Lovely site, shame about dreadful weather which prevented us exploring area, however this was certainly not the owners fault as whole country impacted by heavy rain. We would visit again when next in the area.
Important note - Site Price and Postcode listed in UK campsite are incorrect.
Price is £15 per night and not £12.

A perfectly acceptable site, but the pictures of it must have been taken by an estate agent, it looks nothing like them. There are actually 2 sites, the CL comes first, then there is what I assume is a small commercial site through a gate, which is where the fishing pond in one of the photos is situated. It's not all hardstanding either, we were given a grass pitch which was a bit muddy.
'From £12 per night' translates into £15 in reality, ok as there are decent loos and showers. It's easy to find from J16 of the M6, only a couple of miles. There is a short potholed lane to the site, care needed. As the owners also run a B&B I would have thought that this point should be addressed.
The area is attractive, there is a nature reserve directly across the road with a lovely lake, and just down the road is Apedale which is lovely. There is a small convenience shop in the village, but you will need to head over to Newcastle Under Lyme for fuel (Keele Road).
We would use this site again for a stopover, plus it's open all year.
