Fantastic location with beautiful views across the valley. Camp fires in the evening brilliant.
Lovely walks with the dog. Nice casual feel not too many dos and don'ts.
Downside: facilities very basic, 3 showers for whole campsite plus yurts, 2 washing up sinks and no hot water!
No drinking water taps on site only at washing up sink. Problem with water pressure if more than 2 or 3 people using shower came out as a dribble.

Toilet/shower block is far too small for the amount of pitches you don’t have room to shower & dress in the showers …
We had breakfast in the cafe it was stone cold apart from the hash brown the sausages were deep fried frozen ones not fresh made on site as they say very disappointing as that’s what we were looking forward to a good breakfast …
Also had a load of kids kicking the ball at our car and caravan for hours on end

Fantastic camp site which was really family friendly.
Lovely flat field with loads of space for the kids to play. Small toilet/shower block was immaculately clean throughout and the showers were amazing!
Great location for Ice Cream Farm, Crocky Trail, Chester, Cheshire Oaks etc.
The owners were super friendly and were about all the time if you needed them.
We will definitely be back!

Good location for Chester and North Wales Coast. Lovely space for the children to run and play with good sized pitches. Field dried out very quickly following a very big thunderstorm with hours of heavy rain. Friendly people.
Block quite small and can't understand why campers leave showers so muddy and steal the toilet roll although owners try hard to keep clean and replenish
Handy butchers and cafe on site. Lovely week.

Lovely site, great location not far from Chester. Basic, which was all we required.

Sorry not worth £25 a night. Only one toilet for men approximately 60 units there when we stayed so you can imagine the queue and only one sink for men
Electrics kept tripping so had to have everything on gas, seemed to work off multiple extensions
No waste water disposal for motorhomes
Toilet disposal area a hole in the ground with no tap to rinse the cassette
Saving grace a super cafe had breakfast there it was delicious and the lady working there was very helpful

This is a new site so the toilets and showers were new and in good condition. Showers (3) were warm and free, toilets (3 for ladies) were clean and working. There are also 2 washing up sinks with hot water.
Communication with the owner Tracy was warm, helpful and friendly. Upon arrival we were told we could pitch anywhere we wished but I believe that specific areas are being marked out. We have a tent and to our delight the field is completely flat. It was freshly mowed too so the children (10, 13) had great fun throwing grass around and at each other. There is no official play area and my children did not find anywhere particular to hang out or mess around in. It's safe though.
So, camping was good but other bonus marks go to the farm shop/butchers which stocks great meat, lovely cakes and is staffed by a lovely, lovely chap. There is also a cafe which does good breakfast in a welcoming atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would visit again if we wish to visit the area.
