Receptionist was friendly and sit is very well positioned - sea views, walking distance to town etc.
My real objection was to the tone of the signage and site leaflet. Much too unfriendly and rather prescriptive. Don’t do this, don’t do that makes one feel uncomfortable. Other sites get the message across without this approach.
Charging for people and dog on top of van is over the top.

Lovely views, nice site. The cafe wasn't open so can't review this (due to covid) which was a shame. The facilities were clean.
One more toilet would be good, there was one in the house but it felt like going into someone else's house to use.

We got there midday, weather was good but tad windy haha
But yeh campsite is clean and it was quiet also as well as the ground being decent as well (level)
People were very friendly and it was a nice wee walk into town for a nice meal at the y-not bar. food was delicious
So yeh give it a go you won’t be disappointed

Wonderful scenery and wildlife but very expensive and lacking in facilities eg no chemical/waste disposal point and electrics. very easily tripped,
Making it ok for an overnight stop but only if nearby sites full.

A really beautiful spot on the top of the cliffs overlooking the isle of Hoy, Orkney. Friendly welcoming owners. Basic facilities but clean and perfect for us, who wholeheartedly dislike busy sites and "glamping"!
Great view of the bay and its wildlife. Spent ages watching the seals playing.
Close enough to the ferry terminals for orkney to be a nice serene stopover. Very chilled out relaxing spot. Will be returning in a few days after our Orkney trip.
P. S. Have rated 10 for child friendliness as couldn't leave blank. We have no kids and there were none on the site so haven't got a clue!
