This is a well kept and well designed site near Bourne. There are 10-12 HS serviced pitches, mainly with laurel hedges of a good height between them so there's a little extra privacy.

The site has open green areas so there's a sense of space and a respect for nature. The amenity block features 2 showers and two WC (unisex) and are immaculately clean.

The code entry barrier keeps the place more secure. The owner provides an information booklet on arrival.

There are a few seasonal pitches and a caravan storage area too but these don't impede views or space.

Nearby is a petrol station with a small shop and in the other direction there's a large garden centre with cafe etc plus a few pubs serving food within 2 miles drive.

Walks from the site are along the river in one direction and across the fields towards Dole Wood in the other direction - pleasant but limited choice if you're into walking.

Bourne, about 4 miles away, has shops but not much else to see or do. Stamford is lovely, about 20 mins drive away.

The only drawback for us was the busy A15 road alongside. You can't see it due to the fence and trees but you can hear it most of the day and night.

This may not matter to you and you may get used to it but we'd prefer it a bit more peaceful.

Despite this, we really like this place and hope to return.

When we arrived at this campsite David was very pleasant and helpful,

The pitches are flat and lever with their own fresh water and grey waste outlet, also there are small bushes/trees between each pitch,

There are two toilets and two showers that was both very clean,

When you walk around the site there is a small river, bird look out shelter and lots of rabbits and wild life around,

You are next to the A15 and this road can be a bit busy at times but that did not bother us at all, Bourne and Peterborough are not that far away.

We will definitely be returning to this site.

A delightful restful site, we even commented when entering the site that we immediately became more relaxed. The bliss was tarnished by the sound of the A15 nearby- cannot have everything.

Well spaced out pitches separated by low hedges, all serviced pitches with water hoses provided (well ours was). Lovely short walks from the site, nothing but praise for the site.

Very close to Helpston, the home of John Clare the English peasant poet, and the castor Hanglands where he used to walk.

Bourne not far away for the big shops.

Very good value for what you pay for. £18 per night.

Would love to stay there again when travelling by.

Local walks plus Macmillan way nearby. A small river runs through with benches and bird watching hide.

This is a brilliant camp site, nothing too much trouble for David who has put an enormous amount of work into making the site a great place to relax and enjoy.

Good well kept showers and toilets and would thoroughly recommend this site.

Lovely sunny riverside location which is a real haven for wildlife. Well laid out park with spacious pitches and lots of natural features. Excellent access off the A15 suitable for all sizes from go-pod to the largest motorhomes and caravans.

The park owner David is so friendly helpful and welcoming and keeps the shower facilities spotless.

Particularly suitable for dog owners as friendly dogs can be untethered on the site and there is direct access onto the Macmillan way for off lead dog walking. David has created a wonderful habitat for nature just outside the window.

We have seen the Kingfisher several times from our lounge! Cresslands is still developing with David’s vision for nature and extensive planting program. Can’t wait to return!
