 Hillside location 1 ½ miles NorthWest of Aberdaron is the location of this 5 pitch CL site. The site is accessed via 3 ½ miles of single track country lane – not for the fainthearted!
Fully serviced gravel hardstanding pitches compensates for the ‘basic’ toilet block/s. One has two toilets and shower (20p), wash basin with no hot water, second toilet sink (with hot water) and second shower. No washing up facilities on site. At £ 15. 00/night with EHU what can you expect? Very good TV reception and 4G phone – but we couldn't get DAB radio.
Ideal location for the coastal walks and quite country lane cycling, but beware of the 20⁰ hill climbs/descents (great downhill, hard slog up!).
Nearest large supermarkets/shops are 14 miles away at Pwllheli.
NT exhibition (Porth y Swnt) at Aberdaron is a must visit with its audio/visual/interactive guide providing the complete Llyn Peninsula journey of ‘The Deep, The Way, The Light, The Sound and The Fold’. Another hidden NT gem (Plas yn Rhiw) with its delightful house and garden is found 6 ½ miles East of the site, and Whistling sands bay 1 ½ miles North.
Ideal site if you are looking for some peaceful out of the way location, a bit remote if not!

Management response: I just noticed a review for our campsite at Cyndyn, Aberdaron.There are a few things that are not true on the review
1 Access is not 3 1/2 miles and there are plenty of passing places should you meet another vehicle.
We recommend using the directions below for the easiest access to the site:
"Fork right off the B4413 (Llanbedrog - Aberdaron) 0.25 miles past Pen-y-Groeslon (B4417 junction) at the signpost for Whistling Sands. At T-junction in 3.5 miles turn right. Site is on the left within 0.5 mile. Note if you have a large vehicle please do not follow your sat nav instead use directions printed above"
2 We do have DAB radio reception.
3 There is a Spar shop and bakery 2 miles away, not 14. |
