We just needed somewhere we could safely park the van for a good night's sleep before heading home.
Lovely owners with a nice tidy field in a quiet area with chemical disposal facilities and fresh water.
Perfect for what we needed

Beautifully situated campsite in the middle of nature.
Friendly welcome by Joanne.
Equipped with water tap, electrical connection and chemical toilet disposal.
Nice walking opportunities and close to a small cozy village with a great restaurant.
We enjoyed our stay.

Super place for peace and quiet, our pitch was level and we had everything we needed.
Enjoyed it so much we decided to come back and stay another night on our way home again!

Well spaced and quite location with a great village pub.
Good for walking and watching the racehorses train on the gallops.
Easy access from the M4 bit tricky through the village if you meet anyone.

What a fantastic CL site - one of the bet we have been too. A very tanquil farm setting with beautiful views of the hills with the grazing cattle, sheep, and alpacas.
The free range chickens wandering round the caravans was also so lovely to see, just had to keep an eye on the dogs.
Superb local walks and a lovely pub (The Queens). All in all a fabulous weekend away.

We liked the peaceful location, the views of the rolling downs, the proximity of a good network of public footpaths, the pub at Great Shefford (2 miles walk) and the good mobile phone signal.
The pitches are sloping but we coped with chocks.

A good site, level ground, easy enough access, a little care needed. Situated in the Lambourn Downs, a lovely area. We were only staying for 1 night to and from South Wales, so didn't get a chance to explore the many footpaths.
The owners have a very relaxed attitude, go to the house, which you can't miss, to pay, £12 which is excellent. They sell hen and goose eggs.
The directions are a bit vague in our opinion, from the M4 J14 take the main road towards Wantage. Turn left in Great Shefford signed East Garston and Lambourn. Upon entering East Garston turn right just before the pub (this is the bit that is missing), follow the road round, past some thatched cottages and a big square brick and stone house, turn right into no through road. The site is about 1/2 a mile up here, clearly signed.
There is a garage/shop in Great Shefford, turn left onto the main road, go round the corner, it's not far.
We would certainly use the site again, apparently it is very popular, so book well in advance at busy times. It has good recycling and CWD.
