Our first visit to this site but hopefully not our last.
A little gem of an Adult Only site on the outskirts of Dalbeattie. Site is beautifully maintained and each hardstanding pitch has fantastic views to the surrounding countryside.
All pitches have electricity and water close at hand. There is access to the riverbank from the site where you can fish or just relax in one of the provided hammocks.

What a super find! An excellent site in a superb location.
All pitches are well spaced to take advantage of the views whilst maintaining privacy. Water and electric are immediately to hand.
The owners were most friendly and welcoming, with a pack of useful information and even a gift of a couple of fresh eggs for breakfast.
Dalbeattie is a 20 minute walk away with plenty of small shops and a garden centre which does good food and the area has some very nice places to visit like Kippford, Rockcliffe and Threeve Gardens.
Will certainly visit again.

An ideal location. Lots to do around the area.
The hosts Georgia & Jason are lovely. They made us very welcome, even provided a pack with things to do in the area.
It’s a lovely small site.
The only negative is the road that runs past does give a little traffic noise and is quite busy. On the positive It didn’t disturb our sleep.

Not sure I want to write a good review because I want to keep this site secret so we can get a pitch next time we’re in Dalbeattie !
From the booking by phone to leaving, Jason and Georgia were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Typical Yorkshire hospitality in Scotland !
The pitches have hard standing just enough for your caravan which means you can put your awning on the grass and it’s easier to get the pegs in. Each pitch has water and Electric. There is grey water waste disposal area and also chemical disposal on site.
The site itself has lovely views from every pitch, Jason told us he sat on a chair on each pitch working out which way to face it, and it’s paid off. The pitches are well spaced out. The site is landscaped and really well looked after. But the best bit is the path that Jason has made down to the river bank and a peaceful sitting area, you’d think you were in the middle of nowhere it’s so peaceful.
Dalbeattie is 2 mins drive away or a good 20min walk. It’s a typical Scottish granite town with some essential shops. But we can recommend TH Carson’s butchers for your BBQ supplies and Galloway Soup Co, for lunch or just a coffee and cake. If you want more shops go to castle Douglas for a walk down the high street, some really good independent shops. Mr Pooks restaurant, for your evening meal treat Or Designs for lunch or coffee.
We will be back, and Thank you.

Great situation, easy to find, close to a road. We will go back. This is a lovely site, very picturesque and close to a river.
Very helpful and friendly owner.
Note there are no toilets or showers, just a quiet and peaceful place, with wonderful dark skies.
£14 for the night including hook-up and hard standing.
