Very basic facilities on overgrown pitches. Nettles and brambles everywhere. Steep rise onto our pitch, causing electrics on tow bar to catch the ground, causing damage.
Wholly insufficient showers, toilets, washing, washing up facilities for the number of units on site, leading to long queues. Only good point was the hot water in the showers.
Long rutted and potholed track from the main road to the site.

A great camp site. Very easy to book online.
Your pitch number is sent to you and you just arrive and drive on to it!
Couldn’t be easier.
The kids LOVED the wild adventures that they had on the site - hide and seek in Robin Wood, night walks with torches in Jay Wood, easy path walks up and down the River Arun. The possibilities are endless.
It’s a “must go to” camp site!

The site is located next to the rear of Ford open prison, with access via a bumpy lane.
This site has expanded since last visiting. We staying on the Magpie field where the campers are nicely spread about so no one is right on top of you. Unfortunately they now have a field for group bookings. As you can imaging it gets quite noisy and we just had loads of kids running round especially around the shower block.
In Magpie there is only 1 toilet but 4 showers, quite often you need to go to another field when you need the loo, especially again if there is a group. To be honest if they are going to have groups they need more facilities.
We paid £27. 50 for a night with no electric. I did find this a bit steep compared with others site where for this price electric was included.
Nice locations though near the river and 2 pubs probably around 20 minutes walk away. One on the main road and 1 a walk along the river towards Arundel.

We paid £30 per night for two adults and two children with electricity but our socket supply was split by the owner (we paid full price). We booked for four nights and left after one. Access is difficult for Motorhomes due to muddy lane 1 mile long.
Our pitch was basically very rough grass, with pot holes, therefore it was difficult to get even basically level. Our pitch view included 7 porta loos dotted around. Not very picturesque. In our opinion it is not suitable for Motorhomes. We left after one night but paid four four. At £30 per night. I would not expect to pay more than £12. The pictures on the website do not reflect what we experienced. I hope this review helps other people.

Karen was helpful and responded to my emails and calls very quickly.
We weren't on the best pitch however we booked on the day so obviously many of the pitches had already been taken.
We walked around and saw many really lovely pitches amongst the trees which if I were to go again I would definitely book.
The site was clean and tidy and we had a great time.
