 Lovely location by the river, quiet (there’s a forge just up the road but noise low). Popular with anglers. Staff friendly and helpful, facilities a little dated but very warm, and clean- seems to be a full time maintenance man on site, doing a good job.
Inexpensive and so a bit basic. No hardstandings and some pitches quite muddy. No loo roll, soap or driers in the facilities and hardly anywhere to hang stuff in the shower- most had to be slung over the door.
Water temp the same in the showers and the sinks - not in any way adjustable- so shower temp slightly less than ideal whilst having to brush teeth in warm water which just feels wrong!
Most importantly the hook ups were just continental plug sockets, not the standard fitting- so you need an adapter.
However- all the above mostly for information rather than complaint. The price reflects what you get and it is a nice site overall.
Uk campsite - we don’t have children and I don’t have a clue about child friendliness. Please can you change this requirement so it’s possible to put n/a. Otherwise I will continue to score 1, which is probably not fair

An up&coming site. The current owners are carrying out a program of improvements. Its a small site, on a lovely riverside location.
There is a unisex shower block with WC's - a disabled combined loo shower & basin, laundry facilities and washing up all in one block near the entrance.
The owner speaks a fair bit of English and is very friendly and most accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.
There are ducks and geese on the riverbank. There is a small play area for young children (The Port Diseur Train - wooden carriages in a train setting)
The town of Montherme is a bit industrial but has a riverside setting, and maybe the fact it poured with rain coloured our perceptions somewhat, but we enjoyed a little stroll around the town, alongside the river. There are a couple of restaurants/hotels and a vets, florist etc, but not really any cafes, that we saw anyway. There is a Tourist Information Centre too. There is a decent sized supermarket 100 yards from the campsite entrance.
We paid 36E for 2 nights in April.
