This was the perfect site for walking. Two fields either side of the campsite had footpaths running through them, which led to further walks or just a quick walk for the dogs.
The views were amazing, being surrounded on all sides. The pitches were spacious but slightly unlevel so blocks needed!
Pubs, shop and the beach all within walking distance, and lots to explore. Very quiet and relaxing as not a big site.
Probably not an exciting site for children as not much space to play but it would be ideal as a base for exploring the area.
Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.

Loved the basic-ness of this site. Only electricity and water available. No toilet or showers but we have our own in the van.
Perfect dog walking area all around with paths in all directions. Twenty minute walk to the beach.
Ten minutes to the village shop and pub.
Nice and quiet at night.

We have stayed here for 3 nights, the site is okay to find, but the allocated time for arrival is a nuisance as there was no where to stop on our journey to prevent arriving earlier. We have never in 15 years of caravanning had this situation. This is probably due to the fact the sites managed by a Warden who pops around twice a week hey, personal touch!
Site is in a lovely location, we found 3 walks from site.

We stayed at the Doghouse CL last year, which was a fabulous location and a perfect stop-off on our way to/from Devon or Cornwall.
We hoped to stay again this year, but had to stay at Broadlands which is on the other side of the hedge, closer to the A35. We were concerned the road may be more obtrusive, and the views not as good, but were very pleasantly surprised.
Despite the proximity, we really didn't notice the main raoad at all, and the site's within easy walking distance from the sea and a couple of good pubs.
