Lovely site, super friendly owners. Good location.
Showers and wash up area nice and clean. Could do with a few more water stations around the place. Toilets in the middle, chemical but clean.
Nice little stay here

Stayed at this site a couple of times now and it is on my list of favourites as I absolutely love the location and laid back feel of the whole site.
It is located in a really picturesque countryside location right on the edge of Wareham Forest which offers absolutely miles of hiking and cycling routes. You can literally hop over the stile into the forest and within minutes it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, miles from any built up area. Loads of wildlife to see as well if you are lucky!
The site itself is very informal as there’s are no dedicated pitches, you just choose your spot on the field and set up. It does get busy on bank holiday weekends but there is enough space so you are not on top of each other. The site supplies fire pits free of charge and you can buy logs and kindling from the owners at reasonable prices. The facilities are pretty basic with about 10 portaloos, a couple of showers and an under cover washing up area. They could do with a couple more drinking water points dotted around the site as it is a bit of a hike to fill your water container if you are pitched at the far end of the site.
When I first stayed here, the pub on the edge of the site was closed and not trading but has now re-opened and has a good selection of ales so is a good place to hole up if the weather is not so good during your stay!
Overall this is a lovely site, set in a fantastic location that offers good facilities to give a real back to basics camping experience.
