Quiet site with very little lighting, 6amp elec hook up so have to be careful when using appliances.
Site plan at entrance with your name against your pitch. Hardstanding level, site road narrow so you could see where units had to go on grass to either get on or off pitch.
Toilet showers 1 male and 1 female on part of site open.
Pub and village shop approx half a mile away with footpath next to road.
Owner on hand if help needed.

Beautiful little site.
Absolutely immaculate but no evidence of how to pay!
Texted owner who phoned me back and arranged to have money collected next morning- someone else had been given bank details to pay.
Only one toilet/ shower for each gender but immaculate and with few of us on site it was no problem.
Large lawn area, with newly planted trees, looked great for tents, and all handy for A1.

Stopped here for 3 nights to visit the area especially Richmond which is a bit of a gem even if it is a bit hilly!
The site is pretty spacious with hard standings and nicely trimmer grass.
There is plenty of space between pitches and the washrooms always clean 1 each for men and women.
Access is easy close to the A1 and there is lots to see and do in the area with some of spectacular walks.
Pretty certain we will be back

Was wanting to find a site that was not too far away but in a nice secluded spot with somewhere to walk too so did not have to use camper van.
Such a lovely CS site away from the busy roads but near enough to the local village of Brompton on Swale where they have piblic footpaths that link to the coast to coast.
We walked the other way into Richmond via Easby Abbey, short walk on main road but then you head off down a public footpath which takes you to Easby Abbey, total walk about 50 mins one way.
The site itself is well maintained with plenty of room between hardstanding pitches, it has 1 ladies and 1 mans bathroom, both clean and with powerful showers, the lock on the ladies bathroom was broken when we got there, but I rang the site, and within 1 hr all was fixed and a new lock was on - Thank you.
Owners of site were not there on arrival but no need to be, good communication and pitch number allocated to you before hand, any issues, you just ring the mobile if you have any issues.
Have already booked to go back for 4 nights in August - Thanks for a chilled and relaxing stay.

We stayed at Millfield CS site and couldn’t believe our luck in discovering this little Jewel of a site.
It has flat grass or hard standing pitches and all amenities albeit single toilets and shower rooms, the hosts Martin and Rusty are just superb and very helpful nothing is too much trouble.
The village has everything you will need, general store sells everything, fish shop open most nights, indian and Cantonese take away and restaurants, and lovely walks,
You won’t regret staying here. 10/10 from us 👍

There are 5 hard standing pitches with a good patch of grass to the side plus a large grass area with EHU at one end of the site presumably for larger units which don't fit easily on the standard pitches.
Behind you is a large field with horses in and in front there is a grass area where tents may pitch when allowed (?) and then a lane leading up to a farmhouse etc. There was a fair number of vehicles going up and down the lane when we were staying: cars, vans, lorries, horseboxes. There is sometimes the distant hum of the A1M but otherwise fairly quiet. Facilities currently closed due to Covid-19 so can't comment on them.
The village has a PO/shop and a pub and there are two large caravan outlets(Ropers & Catterick Caravans) nearby which might be useful to visitors. Richmond is a short drive and worth a visit. Walks are possible from the site - nice one in the village along the river or drive a little way for more options e. G Easby Abbey, Yorks moors.
A few small gripes: grass too long, recycling boxes not labelled, no contact or response from owner to our text, traffic along lane. We felt £20 p. Nt was a bit steep as facilities are closed and £16-18 would be fairer but all in all a decent enough site.

Have been coming here since it first opened, always a great stay.
Nice size hard standing pitches. 16amp. Nicely spaced, lovely setting, with stream running alongside, abundance of birds and wildlife. Large field for tents.
Showers, loo and wash up facilities. Always plenty of hot water and lovely powerful shower.
Bus service to Richmond a five minute walk away, or a five minute drive into Richmond. Five minute walk to the local pub, The Crown, that serves food.
There is also a small convenience store/post office, if you need to rustle up a meal or a few beverages of the soft and hard kind!
Highly recommended!

We discovered this site as we have family living nearby. The site is level with 5 hard standing and EHU, the pitches are next to a field with occasional horses that didn't bother us.
Clean facilities. One Gent's toilet/WHB/shower room combined, same for ladies. Chemical disposal point and covered washing up sink, lovely hot water to all taps and shower.
Recycling and rubbish bins. The site is about 150 yds off the Richmond to Brompton on Swale road, hardly any road noise, a nice quiet site for £18 pn inc elec.
Rural walks from the site, and dog friendly, although you need to walk your dog off site up the very quiet lane, that has a grass verge.
Crown pub and local shop is 1/2 mile away in Brompton, there is a Pavement along the road if you choose to walk.
