A large campsite with some pitches lakeside. Our pitch was across the road and was a reasonable size but units were crammed in. Our pitch was a bit noisy as we were close to the road.
The reception area served pizza to take away and had some supplies. We had booked ahead as we thought that it would be busy in May. It was due to German school holidays.
We were given key cards to access the facilities with a 7 minute allowance for a daily shower each.
You are allowed 4 watts of electricity per day and this can be monitored through the campsite app.
Note that unused shower time and electricity can be carried over to the next day. No refund if still in credit on checking out. The facilities were very clean.
Washing machine takes 50 cent coins and costs 5 euros. The spin was poor so you needed a nice day to dry the washing or spend a lot on the tumble dryer.
Although the website mentions card payment they only wanted cash payment. WIFI free.
The lake is beautiful and good for paddle boarding, swimming and kayaking.
There is a bus to Salzburg the stop is 5 -10 minutes walk from the campsite.
There is lots to see in the area with a gondola ride up the mountain, boat tours across the lake to name a few.
Supermarkets a short drive away. If we return we will book a lakeside pitch.

We had previously sent a deposit of 100 Euros for this site & we would recommend as all the time we were there, they were fully booked. We had a 90m pitch with water, electricity & drainage.
Very glad we had motor mover on caravan as otherwise positioning of caravan would be difficult.
Checking in was easy and as has been said, you are issued with passes for access & also for toilet/showering facilities which were always very clean.
We did not use showers, but it stated that you were allowed 7 minutes of hot water each per day. It should be noted that the site is very close to main road, so there is some road noise.
Laundry facilities available at a cost of 5 Euros per wash or dry & 50c pieces are required. The site also is an ACSI site and we were given a discount on production of this.
Our only complaint was the absence of a dog walk & so we had to take ours out of the site onto a busy road.
The area is extremely beautiful and we would certainly recommend.

No problems with access from St Gilgen. Check in was simple and the receptionist spoke good English.
We we're able to walk round and select a pitch. There are only about 5 pitches with a lake view and they are charged extra. There are pitches on both sides of the road with most on the lake side part. There are also a lot of seasonal pitches which seem to be well kept. We selected a regular CC pitch at €20. In mid May with taxes it came to just short of €25 a night.
At the beginning of May a new toilet block is under construction but the main facilities across the road are fairly new, excellent and heated. They are also very high tech. You use your access card to get in and also to get 6 minutes of hot water in the shower.
All pitches have power, water and drainage. Our paperwork suggested that electricity was metered. Upon checking we were told this only applies during the high season. The pitches are level and a mix of grass with a sprinkling of gravel so we did not got bogged down despite heavy rain.
In addition to the lake we are surrounded by mountains. It is a two mile walk to the pedestrian ferry in Abersee which takes you across to St Wolfgang. There is a Billa and Hoffer supermarket in StGilgen.
Wifi is free and the signal and speed were good enough to be able to stream TV.
Nice site with good facilities. Limited lake views.
