Very peaceful with just 5 pitches. From the tent we looked out into a lovely panorama of ash and sycamore trees.
Having our own eco loo and water supply on the pitch was a luxury, and the gas shower worked fine.
Morning and evening we heard and saw a buzzard overhead. Howell was very friendly and helpful.
There’s a woodland walk and a big field to walk without leaving the site.
The location is central to the whole area, so most places on the peninsula can be reached within the hour, and it’s especially close to the Preseli Hills.
It’s expensive for a couple but if you value peace and quiet it’s worth it.
In Coronavirus times it’s camping at its most relaxed, loads of space between the pitches, with only the showers as a shared facility (and even then it’s a wooden outdoor structure with plenty of airflow).

Rustic glamping! This is a very unusual site but one we liked so much we have already booked to return! Only 5 pitches, nicely spaced out so lots of privacy. Each pitch has its own gazebo or wooden structure with a gas ring and cold water tap.
Each pitch also has a table and chairs plus a fire pit with wood provided. We loved being able to cook on an open fire! Even better, each pitch has its own compost toilet. There are two gas powered showers which are highly effective. The owner is attentive and brings ice blocks and wood daily.
This site only opened this year and the owner is planning a new shower block which will have flushing loos for those who aren’t keen on the compost ones. It is miles from anywhere but I’m sure there are shops if you need them.
We didn’t actually leave the site bringing everything we needed with us. We loved the relaxed, quiet, ambience with just cows and sheep making any noise!
Probably not ideal for very young children as some steep banks but I’m sure older children would love it. Only a couple of the pitches have vehicle access so primarily aimed at tents but small camper vans on the right pitch could work.
No electric hook up or lighting - bliss!
