 I have just recently asked Uk Campsite to add this to the search. Just so you know, there are over a 1000 pitches here, but I suspect the 61 refers to the number of tent pitches available.
This campsite is huge. It is a sister campsite to Camping Parc Albatross in Tuscany and various others around Italy.
We booked directly with the campsite. We booked static chalet with three bedrooms.
Two mums and two daughters on a 5 day trip to Rome.
Booking was easy and straight forward, there is a huge range of accommodation on site, and most of the well known camping holidays are here too.
We were at the back of the site, in a wonderfully quiet location, we could actually see the city of Rome from outside our caravan.
The site is large and well run. The restaurant is excellent, the ice cream parlous is delicious. There is a wonderful swimming complex, busy and a bit noisy in August, but hey, people are there to have fun!
The supermarket is well stocked, but closes for siesta, so make sure that you plan ahead for any shopping.
My friends daughter and my daughter, loved the site and hired their go karts to get around the site, there is no bicycle hire. There was night time entertainment, but not really our thing. By the time we had been to the pool, lunched, back to the pool and out for dinner we were quite happy. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the wine and we enjoyed going there.
We stayed on this site with the full intention of doing several visits into Rome. The reality was the girls were very happy to stay on site, so we just did one trip in. We walked from the site to the end of the road and got the bus to the end of the tube line, where you then get the tube into the centre of Old Rome. We walked miles. I had been before so was quite happy getting us around the sites. However, in August, Rome is very hot, we visited the forum but couldn't stay long as the heat was really exhausting and no shade! We had a lovely day there and this site is so well placed to visit it.
The check in process is very straight forward and we were happy to pay for their mini bus transfer from the airport. Check out was also straight forward. The only think that put me off this place was the noise from the swimming pool. To be fair, I suspect that only happens in August and its from the various exercise classes they run in the swimming pool area. I just found it a bit intrusive! However, it didn't stop us having a wonderful time.
