Excellent view and ease of finding site. Amenities were acceptable but very basic- disabled shower only just usable as fixed showerhead.
No campfires. Given that the cost is expensive and you're paying for the location.
Shop and Frankie's fish and chips within short drive.
Situated around a small picturesque harbour with lots of pleasureboat traffic

Stayed here for two nights en route to north isles and one on way back. Amazing views from site and really friendly and helpful communication with club secretary but didn’t meet anyone.
Pay by bank transfer or honesty box. Brae is a handy place to stock up on food (co-op), fuel and the chip shop!
Harbour side site so not good for small children.
I received complicated details to access facilities but didn’t need them- they were always open.

I am cycling around Shetland. Some wild camping. Some campsites. Brae is ideally situated for access to the Northern isles and North Mavine. It has a coop and pub/chip shop.
I got a very prompt email response to my enquiry with all the details I needed. The shower was very clean & hot.
Only downside is that the tent area is very exposed to the wind. But then everything on Shetland is exposed to the wind.
I stopped 2 nights on the way north so I could visit Muckle Roe. And one night on the way to the Northern Isles.
Recommended.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful site down by the Marina.
Facilities were basic but clean.
Didn't meet any of the staff but instructions for code access were sent by email.

Useful welcome, help and instructions by the site managers. Good location with close local facilities, good view, great arctic tern colony on the marina breakwater and an otter just offshore.
Good to have access to the laundry, dishwashing and kettle for us campers. Main constraints are perhaps not enough seated toilets and showers if it was busy, though they were clean with plenty of hot water, and there might possibly not be enough tent space on level ground in busy periods.
It would all depend on how self-contained all the campervans were, which would influence pressure on the marina club house facilities.
It's obviously a community facility with lots going on in the marina, and that was interesting to see.
Very good value for money for campers and we enjoyed our stay there.

This was our least favourite of all sites used in Shetland.
A functional location, but required phone calls & codes to access facilities, which made it feel less friendly than other sites.

Delting Boating club is a lovely site situated on the marina in Brae Shetlands 2nd biggest town/village.
Brae is a great area to explore North Mavine and western mainland.
You are able to use the facilities at the Boating club.
Only 2 toilets an one shower for male or female and marina didn't seem big enough for a large site.

Good site with usual water and electric points.
Steep drop down to marina site - and caravanners beware on leaving site that should not take a wide swing to get up the hill - one caravanner tried and got his car separated from his van.
We used the parking half way up the hill good. Motorhomes should take some signage that there site is booked - when going out for the day - otherwise some new unit coming in might jump in your place.
Good views of the marina and at week ends boat owners can be seen sailing out and about.
Good local coop 0. 5 miles, pub nearby excellent meals and people must have a good appetite. Also Frankies fish and chip shop most northerly fish shop in Britain - tried it but not impressed - better at pub.
Do make a trip to Voe village it has a bakery (not signposted) but do some bread and Bannocks(scones) - great. On road leading down to the pier. Showers and toilets not open at time of visit - owners on holiday. Good stop over for anyone going onto Yell or Unst. Be careful on unclassified roads - passing places. Enjoy.

A pleasant waterfront site and marina combination, with lovely views over the bay for most pitches. EHU, grey water and chemical disposal available.
Ladies and gents facilities slightly different, in the lower floor of the clubhouse; gents one loo plus communal (3) shower, but you can lock the door, ladies two loos plus a third in the shower area ( so my wife reports). These were kept very clean during our stay, and a problem with the gents loo was attended to within 30 minutes by a very obliging gentleman.
The village of Brae is an easy walk away, with a Co-op, eating places (Frankies fish and chips haddock was as good as Whitby, and by gum that’s saying something!), hotels etc.
Very central, handy for lots of places including ferries to the North Isles.
Good value at £15 per night, honesty box system.

A marina site just on the edge of Brae, hardstanding pitches in two areas all with ehu. There is a fresh water tap, grey and chemical waste and a motorhome drive over dump. There is also a small tent area behind the club house.
The club house is open in the evening from 8pm where you can book in, if not you use the honesty box system. The showers and loos are open 24 hours, two showers and two loos each - the showers are both in one of the loos, but you can lock the door. Really good powerful showers with plenty of hot water.
The night we stayed there was a kids sailing club on, great to watch. As we had parked by the waters edge it did mean we had several cars parked around us watching the kids too.
There is a decent sized Coop in the village, 10-15 minutes walk. Also a chip shop, hotel bars and a restaurant. The village has a community centre and sports complex.
Brae is a really central area for touring the Mainland island, we used it for a night as moving North but would use again. £15 including electric and showers, a great facility.
