 If you are looking for a well maintained, quiet site which is closely supervised by a site manager then this site may not be for you.
It’s adjacent to a holiday cottage complex and run by a holiday letting company with grass cutting to another company. The owners are hands off.
There are several large barns adjacent to the campsite in which there was activity during the day on our stay. One contained constantly squeaking machinery and another had a chimney which exuded smoke and combustion gases on and off.
The grass is apparently mown about every 2 weeks and it was very long when we stayed.
Mobile signal and data very weak.
Expensive at £19 inc 5% booking fee.

Despite the previous review which I feel is 'picky' and having just returned from this little gem of a site I feel that we need to share some of the pleasure for others to enjoy.
If you enjoy the countryside and all it's wonders then this environmentally conscious site on a working farm is a great opportunity to get up close to nature with secluded mown walks around the fields where we saw owls, deer, rabbits and a rich variety of butterflies and wild flowers.
It is spacious with plenty of room for each camper and EHU and drinking water at each pitch and a good open air chemical disposal point discreetly located behind a screen of bushes. T
He manager was a delightfully chirpy young lady who was as helpful as could be in accommodating our requests to extend our stay and the land manager very environmentally and nature knowledgeable.
Sheringham park, Holt, Sheringham, Cromer, Weybourne, Wells and Overstrand beach are all within easy reach.
We will most definitely return.

Not a terribly good site for £18 per night, but the only one in the area with availability. It's just a small field, grass is cut but left lying; we had to pick it up all around the caravan as we were expecting visitors.
You will be coming from the west, and will see Rookery Farm but no CS sign, ok, that is round the back where the entrance will be. The sign was indeed at the other end of the buildings, but could see no way into the site, had to ask some farm workers in the end. All you need to do is to drive up the track you will see when approaching and turn left just before a large concrete area, past a wooden house and up into the field, so why have a totally confusing sign in the wrong place?
It's easy to get to everywhere, Sheringham is ok, has a Tesco for supplies. Holt has a Budgens and the nearest garage. There is a good walk here at Spout Hills, and Holt Country Park.
Never saw the owner, had to pay in advance by bank transfer. There is a constant hum of farm machinery which didn't really bother us. It has a rather old and worn out children's' playground next to it.
We won't be going there again.
