* generous tent pitches. Our tent is 7m x 4m and there was lots of room.
* the bar is excellent with games to play
* no play area for children
* fires allowed - wood, firepits and bases all available.
* note there's only 2 toilets and 2 showers for each gender + a single urinal for the chaps. Didn't seem to cause too much of an issue, but I've marked it down as an extra shower or two wouldn't go amiss given the number of pitches / people.
* very clean and well maintained. Nicely piped music into the toilets and showers
* dark - great stars
* surrounded by mature trees. Well sheltered pitches.
* the hosts are lovely and helpful.
* 15 mins to Mevagissey - a brilliant harbour that our kids loved. Very good value boat trips
* Lost Gardens of Helligan worth a visit 15 mins away. Free return visit worth having if you've got kids as there's a huge play area.
* supermarkets within 15 mins
* Carlyon beach good for waves, Porthpean beach excellent for rock pooling. Not sandcastle beaches - both stoney / gritty. Both with toilets and refreshments.
* I was a little worried that our pitch was next to the bar. It was nice and quiet though and good order kept. It enhanced our stay more than anything else, although it wasn't packed full of revellers!

The pitches are very generous on site and the surrounding grounds are well kept. Craig and Kellie are welcoming and friendly and are on hand for anything that you may need.
Toilets and showers are very clean - the fact you get a constant 5 minutes of hot water is bliss.
The on site bar is open 5 nights and is a great place to relax. Craig makes a mean espresso martini
Dogs are catered for with an enclosed area complete with balls. Our spaniel loved it.
Tremarne makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area - Land's End, Tintagel, Falmouth, Newquay and all points in between.
Would not hesitate to recommend and would love to return in the future

Such a clean, well maintained, thoughtfully developed site.
Even when it’s busy it’s not noisy and the quality of attention from the owners in terms of safety, hygiene, recreation and socialising really builds a sense of community amongst the guests.
Feel like we’ve been coming here for years… after this trip we will definitely be back!
Thank you for a wonderful holiday! Xx

A wonderfully clean and quiet campsite.
The hosts go out of their way to make your stay as pleasurable as possible even in the wind and rain.
There is a bus stop very close to the site that can take you into St Austell bus station where you can change buses for nearby attractions.
A £5 daily bus pass allows you to traval anywhere in cornwall at time of writing this review.
I would definitely go back to this campsite.

Gem of a campsite. The owners are passionate about their site. Very well laid out with plenty of spaces between pitches.
Toilets and shower are 1st class with hotwater being delivered via a push button giving 5 minutes press again for further 5 minutes.
Small friendly bar on site, the owners are very hands on and nothing is a problem.
Highly recommended site.

Tremarne is located just off the main road when entering High Street and about a 10 min drive from St Austell, it lies down a quiet lane and is set in mature sheltered grounds. Offering about 33 pitches for all types of camping equipment with EHU available.
The owners are very welcoming and always on hand to offer help and advice.
A well kept shower block meets you at the site entrance offering warm showers and the usual ablution’s, near by is the grey and black waste points.
Fresh water points are located around the site and as you drive through the site you have the pit washing facility and waste bins centrally located.
An initial sheltered area sits to the left of the lane leading through the site offering around 12 pitches sheltered by tall hedging then you move to the larger field, sporting mature trees through the middle and the whole area is edged by mature hedges and trees offering a sheltered site.
Around 20 pitches sits on this field all very well spaced averaging 10mx10m if not more.
Pitches on the outer edge offer EHU and the site has a slight slope offering great drainage.
There is a small bar area which opens roughly between 7 to 9ish though this is a strictly low noise site.
Fire pits are available to hire and must be out by 11pm
Wi-Fi also available and is pretty good
Price about £25 per night with EHU
Overall a brilliant sheltered quiet site to relax and enjoy Cornwall

This is a lovely campsite, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge.
We found the shower block nice and clean with good water pressure most of the time.
Wash up sinks were kept clean and tidy as was the bin/recycle area. We liked the on site bar, very good prices and it was nice to chat with other campers.
The pitches are very well maintained and a generous size.
We found the location perfect for visiting both coasts and all of the attractions and landmarks.
The Queen's Head is probably the closest pub and does decent pub grub although they stop doing Sunday lunch at 2pm.
We were given the number of a taxi service but didn't use it.

Fabulous site, well run and clean!
Nice bar and friendly owners.
Toilets/showers pretty good 👍
Good spacing on the pitches and I love the idea to provide ground cover for fire pits.
Keep up the good work guys.

We arrived much later than planned but still got a warm welcome. Covid restrictions were well managed with a token system in place to avoid too many people in the toilets or showers. The showers are free and immaculate.
Due to Covid, Day visitors are not allowed at present which was a shame as our daughter lives nearby and we would have used the nice looking bar on site. Instead we visited the Queens Head in St Stephen which is only a few minutes drive and does great pub meals.
Plenty of room on the pitches with a small dividing rail between each site. Barrier on entry with keypad - we were supplied with a small bamboo stick to avoid touching the keypad! The site has easy access for caravans.
The dog walk mentioned in the welcome pack literature unfortunately is not available as the project was abandoned after the printing had taken place.
Good 4g signal for O2. WiFi is available to purchase but we didn't need it.
Will definitely return and highly recommend.
