 This is a working farm CS run by the delightful Jane Roper. Do call her up before you set off as I think a few details have changed since their website was last updated. Essentially a paddock with electric hookups, drinking water taps, a waste disposal and some recycling bins, it's basic but was everything we needed for a quick winter weekender in the tent. You need your own lavatory and washing up facilities.
If you're arriving after dark, do your homework with Google Maps beforehand: it's not signposted, and if you do chance upon the entrance, you enter a bit of a maze, and then it turns out the camping ground is behind the first (shut) gate. We weren't absolutely sure we'd pitched in the right place till we spoke to Jane in the morning.
Bits of the site get boggy after rain, so be careful your car doesn't get stuck, and pitch with care. There's a bit of a twilight zone feel about it with the noise of the M4, a run of pylons and three phase, plus a GSM mast in very close proximity, but the atmosphere is very pleasant once you've settled in. It's probably the handiest tent site for Bristol and it's Uberable if you're planning a night out. (I'd hate to think what would have become of a regular minicab trying to find it. )
At a tenner a night including EHU this is a fab site for the area and we'll be back.
