We used the Corner Cottage site as a one night stopover on our way back to Scotland.
It is a very tranquil location. Very neat and tidy.
Directions for arrival were sent in advance so arrival was contactless, although not a priority for us and we easily found our designated pitch and parked ourselves.
Flat site. It is very quiet. No showers or toilets but we are self contained in the caravan so didn't matter to us. Water was the main issue, as we didn't have the barrel pulling handle with us for some reason.
We did have 3 lengths of expandable water hose but even they didn't get our barrel filled very near the caravan but close enough to push the barrel on the flat ground straight to the caravan.
The honesty hut with the varied stock on display was interesting. We didn't need anything, so didn't take /buy anything.
If passing through we would certainly use the site again.

A beautiful, well-tended site. The flowers and shrubs on the site rival many a garden centre.
The friendly Owners cannot be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Very quiet, the only sounds being birdsong and trickling water in nearly streams.
Villages within 1 mile, otherwise no other properties, only quiet country roads ideal for pleasant walks.
A shed on the site contains a variety of essential goods.

The road leading to the site is narrow but has little traffic so only a small chance of another vehicle coming the other way. When we arrived we were met by Maggie who explained things about the site and was very nice.
The site is nice and flat with very well kept grass. All pitches are grass. We found the site really quiet and ideal to relax. We used our stay as a base to visit various areas such as Lincoln and Newark.
We would definitely recommend this site if you are looking for a quiet and well kept site. The facilities are minimal but it does state that in the info - only marked as 5 for facilities based on what was available, all were very clean.
We will book again. Thank you to Maggie & Andy for a lovely stay

This CL ranks up there with the best we've stayed on.
The friendly owners have got it spot on; from the contactless reception, to the site layout, to the lovely home cooked cakes and breakfast.
The little reception shed really is like a convenience store, selling everything you'd need for your holiday; from ketchup to curry sauce, gravy to greetings cards, pasta to personal items all at prices no higher than you'd find at the local Coop.
We only planned a quick break to give the van it's first outing of the year - we almost didn't get a pitch (someone cancelled) but we feel lucky we did. Only been home a few hours and we've already booked our return, hopefully to explore the area more.
Highly recommend
Thank you Maggie and Andy

Excellent. Lovely, peaceful site. Large pitches and well maintained.
The option of a bacon, egg or sausage butty in the morning is brilliant and as for the home made quiche, definitely not to be missed.
The amount of information provided with regards to the area, places to see, restaurants, pubs, takeaway. The list goes on.
We will be back later in the year.

We recently planned to spend 3 nights at Corner Cottage but was able to extend for another couple of nights, and so glad we did! (We simply did not want to leave after 3 nights)
This site is a delight and offered what we have always searched for - a peaceful and relaxing haven to shake off the stress of a busy week, set in the depths of the local countryside, yet close enough to the facilities which both Newark and Lincoln have to offer.
The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and explained the available amenities to us on our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for them - and were on hand to provide advice on local shops and walks etc.
The site itself is well laid out and provides an unbelievable amount of space for each outfit while surrounded by woodland and country views.
I anticipate this will be a regular bolt hole for us in the future.
