 A small site for tents only, no electric and bookings only. Most users were backpackers, setting off on the Coast to Coast walk, so only staying the single night.
The view across Ennerdale to Crag Fell is awesome.
The facilities are excellent. There is a pub and a hotel in Ennerdale Bridge, although this is a couple of miles away.
The owner, Sue, certainly knows her Wainwrights' and will always spin you a yarn or so!
If you want some peace and quiet, away from the tourists, you'll not find better. An excellent base to tick off the Ennerdale Fells
