Finding the site is easy, but you do need to take some care in narrow (short) stretches of road. Leave the A38 immediately past the Tamar Bridge, turn right at the traffic lights to North Road. At the next junction you will see the sign to China Fleet Country Club and golf course. Turn right and immediately left to Glanville Terrace (watch out for the ramp), follow the road down and uphill, past "Pilgrim Pitch", turn in just past the MOT centre.
At first sight the site is not very appealing and we were surprised that the grass had not been cut, bearing in mind that we arrived on 8th July and they had been opened since 4th. This was done a couple of days later, but it's never going to be "lawned".
It grew on us though, quite often we were the only occupants. The pitches are well spaced out (you will need 1 or 2 at the far side to get a satellite tv signal). It also slopes a bit at the other side.
It's easy to get to everywhere, but the nearest beach is at Seaton, 13 miles away towards Looe. If you want to go Cawsands, Kingsands or Mount Edgcumbe which are in Cornwall, the quickest way is to go to Plymouth (Devon) and get the Torpoint Ferry. Note that you only pay for the Ferry and the Tamar Bridge going east (£2)
Dog walk along the road and into China Fleet, or in the other direction at Pilgrim Pitch. No real views though.
Plenty of places to go - Plymouth, Cotehole, Morwellham Quay to name a few. We would certainly use it again if in the area, or as an overnight stop.
£12 per night is very good; we paid by bank transfer and never saw the owners. The rubbish bins/bags are round the back of the CWD and tap area, all very clean and tidy, bags emptied often and there is also a dog poo bin.
