 What a little Gem of a place
Large pitch with a fantastic outlook
Fields to back and side and a lovely pond with ducks in front this is also large tree lined was a little traffic noise but not noticeable.
Toilets and shower immaculate

We were very happy when we arrived at the site
The surrounding area and the views were lovely.
We had booked a hard standing pitch but when Jill was showing us around we thought the little meadow was private and quiet and Jill and John were very obliging when asked if we could pitch up there.

On entering Hammonds Green farm camp site we immediately relax - it is wonderfully peaceful (except, sadly, the noise of traffic through the lovely green green trees).
The attractive small lake with geese & a heron standing on top of the large Weeping Willow is a sight to behold.
The ablution block is as good as you get anywhere.
If you are wanting a peaceful countryside break this is the place for you.
The owners Graham & Kate are charming & friendly & helpful.

We stayed here for 10 nights. It is truly one of the best kept C. L. Sites we have ever stayed at.
Graham and Katherine work hard to keep this site spotless. The grass is cut and collected.
The water and hook up to each pitch is great, and the water pressure is superb (Don't leave your tap on full when you’re out for the day as we did, because it the pressure is so high it forced the hose off the tap, Graham was superb about this and sorted it out in our absence, as us caravaners say. Every day’s a school day!)
The toilets and shower are cleaned daily and have great water pressure.
Graham is a charming chap who is chatty and relaxed Katherine is also kind and works tirelessly especially watering the plants and caring for the animals.
It’s the little touches that make this so unique, Graham took the time to tell all the site members that there would be some noise and dust due to the hay being turned and bailed and that he hoped this would be ok? Now that is thoughtful isn’t it? As said previously if there was a model of a perfect site owner then hands down these guys have nailed it.
Yes, it is near to a road, frankly we did not notice, as you are in such a peaceful place that truly is beautiful.
The location is brilliant Eastbourne is 30 Minutes away, the pub " The Hare and Hounds" is a great little pub, we didn't eat but the food looked amazing and the chef managed to get all the food out on time even for a couple of big bookings that where there. The locals made us feel very welcome and the staff work very hard indeed.
Uckfield is a thriving town and has everything you could need and its 5 minutes away.
I don’t often write reviews however Hammonds Green deserves 10 out of 10, I do hope that we return next year with pals to share the secret of this beautiful well managed site.
