Nice clean site. Peaceful location.
It is a fair walk into centre but nothing that would case concern.
Kirkwall and Orkney are fabulous places to visit on Holiday.
Pipe band played and marched o. Broad St. Music and singing in Cathedral was very moving.
Ice cream is amazing

The campsite facilities are very good, including a comfortable lounge and lots of toilets and shower rooms.
The toilets etc were always pretty clean.
The staff were very helpful and informative and suggested the best place to pitch my tent in my pitch to avoid the wind.
My only comment is that as I was travelling as a lone woman near the end of the season I did find it might have been useful to have an on call number to call during the night if required.
This was due to a group of men playing loud music and talking loudly very early in the morning for several hours, and I wasn't comfortable challenging them so it meant I didn't get much sleep that night.
I did speak to the staff at the leisure centre about them in the morning and another incident of antisocial behaviour from another camper and the staff said they would speak to them and they were quiet after that.
Overall the site was great and in a good location, not too far from town with the big shops and the cinema/leisure centre is very close.

Easy to follow directions from both ferry terminals.
The campsite faces out to sea so there is plenty to watch with ferries and liners coming and going.
The pitches are well spaced out and Large, with water on each electric post.
The facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean by the owners who are very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend a stay on this campsite.
We will be back!
PS. Before you arrive you receive a text message with pitch number and code for the bathroom.

Fantastic new site with peaceful situation & sea views.
Level pitches with good space around each. Own water tap & electric points.
Spotless shower unit. Helpful managers/owners. Washing machines not on site but easily available at a launderette in town ( opens at 10am).
Taxi to town centre for around £6. 50 if you don't want to drive in. Delightful four days here.

All credit to the owners for getting this Site going in these difficult times and loads of good wishes for the future success. We stayed here in early August and, although some elements remained unfinished like laundry and some windscreens, an enormous amount of work has gone into getting everything done.
The toilet block was warm, spotless and very well equipped, hard standings were well laid out and Motorhome servicing was conveniently placed.
The Site is about 2 miles outside Kirkwall and looks directly over to the Cruise and Aberdeen Ferry pier.
We woke one morning to see 'The Anthem of the Seas' all 347m of her slowly emerge from the mist, dwarfing everything in Kirkwall.
We took the 25 ferry crossing to Shapinsay and had a very good day walking round. Return fare for Seniors was less than £5.
Good luck to the owners and staff.
