We stayed at The Swallows CS for 4 nights in April 2022.
Others have described the site as “compact” and we would fully concur with that!
The site is not really suitable for any large motorhomes or caravans.
We were a 7. 4m long motorhome and struggled to properly get onto one of the concrete hard standings. There is no room to swing in/manoeuvre especially if the other hard standing is occupied - which it was!
Because of this, when we came to leave, we had to back out, up a damp slippery hill & around a double bend to find space to turn. All a bit worrying for a 3. 5T front wheel drive motorhome! Thankfully we managed to “escape” with no wheel spinning!
The rest of the site is sloping grass which was uncut during our stay. It looked to be very “cosy” for the other three motorhome/caravan visitors when/if the site is full!
The site owners seem to be concentrating on their glamping pods/yurts in an adjacent field rather than the campsite itself.
Whilst there was a toilet/shower unit, this appeared to be solely for the use of the glampers.
The site fee was £15 per night but we understand that this is to rise shortly.
Having said all that, we chose this site as it gave access to the Kennet & Avon Canal which was under a mile away at Seend Cleeve. The C & CC site at Sells Green was an option but we were unable to get a pitch for the period that we needed. The tow path gave easy access to the Caen Locks and Devizes one way & Melksham and Bradford on Avon the other.
We don’t like writing critical reviews but feel that others need to be aware of the unsuitability of this site for larger units.

This place was cheap; £15 a night. But, the electricity supply was poor; you can’t boil a kettle.
The water supply was low on pressure too.
Access was poor for our 8metre twin axle van; a narrow dogleg drive and then a steep hill, after having to shut the gates of course.
The owners were cheerful however.
