We have had the most amazing time here, we have been 3 times already and booked in again for next weekend 😀
We have had a hard 2 years loosing my mother and father to COVID within 5 days of each other 😞. And we came across this site through the COVID memory stones page on FB. I feel like it was a sign from them 🥰
It's our most comforting place to be.
Thank you 😊

The site is in a lovely area and it is basically well laid out. There is the rare breed farm and across the road in the forest park an amazing play park for children of all ages. The toilet facilities are clean but need updated.
The site is unsupervised leaving it open to abuse especially the communal games room which we witnessed happening.
Bins were left overflowing and recycling does not appear to exist.
Our pitch was apparently hard standing but the awning ended up on a muddy patch which may have had grass
The site has a rule of no noise after 11 pm but as we found the communal areas were abused and unfettered children were left running around making a mess.
The cleaning staff on the Sunday morning were left to pick up the pieces.

Location and estate facilities are great and staff extremely friendly and welcoming in the main reception and bar.
However, very disappointed with the caravan and camping site. Especially at the £30 charge for a pitch (without awning).
When we arrived, we just had to enter the code sent to us by email at the barrier and go find our pitch. No check-in staff to give any information about the site and facilities.
There is a 2 hour period between check out and check in which I imagined would be for purposes of checking that the pitch was cleared and ready for the next guest. However, our pitch was covered in litter an cigarette buts.
We witnessed other sites being vacated leaving food waste and dog poo behind and no-one came to check. The bins were overflowing and remained this way for the next 2 days.
The toilet and shower facilities are clean but in need of updating. The camp kitchen consists of 2 stainless steel sinks on an outside wall with annoying push button taps. The wooden panel behind the sink was covered in cobwebs. The showers were also push button, and I can understand that this is to prevent waste of hot water.
However, every time anyone walked past any of the open shower room doors, the lights and the extractor fans automatically turned on, even in the middle of the night, so no concern about wasting electricity here. Easy fix to put door closures on the doors!
Apart from the cleaners, we saw no staff at all on site during our 2 night stay. Communal room was supposed to close at 11pm and doors were still banging at midnight.
No signage for directions to estate reception either.
Due to its fab location, this site could be absolutely awesome if it was better managed.
