Fetlar Hall - is one of the common community owned, volunteer maintained, small caravan / motorhome parks, which shares its facilities with local fishermen & users of the marina ….
It looks out over the marina, and the pitches, with ehu, are hard tarmac standings, so not suitable for awnings ….
The facilities block comprises an accessible section of the large community hall, and a washing machine is available for communal use …. - the toilets & electric showers were clean & adequate ….
There is small village shop & cafe within walking distance - but that’s it ! ….
We paid £20 per night …. Be aware that each Saturday night, the hall is in use for an island social evening - so the site also doubles as the hall car park ….

Lovely coastal views.
Well placed site and really good facilities.
Parking on slight slope so ramps recommended though could manage without.
Community hall facilities open 24hrs.
Peaceful night.

This is an excellent site adjacent to the island’s community hall and using its facilities.
It’s a peaceful spot with lovely views. Excellent showers (no extra charge) and all very clean and tidy.
The laundry facilities were out of order but we didn’t need them anyway.
Recommended.

Good camp site, clean toilets and shower.
Easy to get around the whole Island from here.
Would recommend.
Washing machine need fixed, but will get one at next destination so not too bothered.

Excellent facility with access to clean shower, toilets, and laundry room in the community hall.
Lovely view from the three pitches, which are in the main hall carpark.
Honesty box for camp fees which go back to the local community.

Excellent site with spotless community-run facilities and beautiful views. Ideal for wildlife watching, so perhaps not so good if your children like theme parks.
Short drive or slightly longer walk to small local shop which is nicely stocked and has a little cafe. There is an interesting Interpretative Centre at the bottom of the hill with information on Fetlar’s history, archaeology, and wildlife (small charge).
Worth noting: Organic chemical toilet fluid ONLY (absolutely no blue); you need two ferries to get here from mainland Shetland which are best to book. This can be done easily by phone and the cost is very reasonable.
This is a very small site so worth advance booking. Be aware that the site is next to the community hall and local recycling facilities, so expect a little bit of coming and going, but everyone is very friendly and the total island population is only around 60 people.
All in all, a lovely peaceful site on a beautiful island where we have been made very welcome.
