We arrived the last day in September and having a very wet weather chose a hard standing no regrets.

It’s a very quite site and on a country C road, so be very careful, the turn in off the road is not good and the exit is bad for the locals do speed along.

The great thing is the security, you will be lent a fob to operate the electric sliding gate.

Keith welcomed us and explained everything. This is not a CL site, hence, they can take more the 5 units.

Can recommend.

What a great stay we had for a couple nights of chill.

We were greeted by the owner in the road with hi-viz to assist with the entrance, which if you follow the directions and pictures they send via email, are no problem anyway, you just need to swing a bit before driving up to electric gate.

You have your own key to the toilet, of which there are 2 and a fob for the electric gate. Only 2 pitches both with electric £20 a night, couple of old horses in field at bottom.

We only saw the owners on entry and leaving, you have their number if any problems, or just knock at house.

Studham village has 2 pubs, you can either walk across the field directly opposite the entrance, or turn left out of entrance, down the hill and right, both about same length. The Bell we only had a drink at, pretty pub. The Red Lion looks out onto the common green, we had a couple of meals here, Sunday dinner one of them, good food, lovely setting with the sun out front till late.

We did a 5 mile run around the area on the Sunday morning.

We used this site as a chill weekend, with it breaking our journey onto Warwickshire, it did the trick.

Stayed here with the main aim of bagging our "J" for our parkrun alphabets (Jersey Farm in St Albans).

We were made very welcome by Sheila & Keith who provided a super list of nearby places to visit and a map for a great local walk.

There are two "private" loos with washbasins but you will require your own shower - no issue for us as we rarely use site facilities. Security is superb with your own remote for opening & closing the substantial site gate.

Lovely open site with horses at the far end. Short walk to two local pubs (the Bell did fabulous food). Handy for Whipsnade Zoo. Great walks and bike rides right from the site.

Approach rode and entrance are a little tight for larger caravans but no real issue if you are competent.

Only downside was some aircraft noise (Luton airport is only 10 miles or so away) but we soon got used to it.
