 Nice big spacious pitches. Fairly laid back approach. Very friendly.
Very peaceful location. Make sure you take a head torch as it is pitch black (yip, I know, dark sky park would suggest it would be).
Toilets and showers are clean although some of the fittings are showing some wear and I'm not sure how they'll stand up to the heavy use of a campsite of the season.
There's a constant battle with grass cuttings that your shoes pick up.
Under cover bike parking if you manage to get a space.
No shops or anything near, not an issue if you prep in advance.
There is no check in, just select your pitch, if you can remember what you booked. There's potential for no mobile signal and WiFi wasn't operational on our visit, which added to the peaceful nature of our visit.
Other members of our group were in pods and they described them as basic, plus additional cost for electricity.
Vans and tents do get a better deal. It suited our needs for the trip. I feel fairly indifferent about a return trip. I would look elsewhere first, but would return if it was only suitable option.
